Nonlinear controllers for nonlinear systems with input nonlinearities [PDF]

open access: possibleProceedings of the 36th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 1999
The authors consider control systems of the type \[ \dot x= f(x,\sigma(u)),\quad x(0)= x_0,\quad t\geq 0, \] where \(\sigma\) denotes an input nonlinearity -- in many cases saturation -- and present a methodology for designing globally stabilizing nonlinear controllers.

Controllability of nonlinear systems

Numerical Functional Analysis and Optimization, 1989
In this paper we obtain global controllability of a semilinear system involving monotone nonlinearities of both Lipschitzian and non-Lipschitzian types.

Controllability of nonlinear systems

Journal of Optimization Theory and Applications, 1977
Some sufficient conditions are presented for the controllability of general nonlinear systems. First, the controllability problem is transformed into the problem of existence of fixed points for some operator; using Schauder's theorem, it is derived that a sufficient condition for controllability is the existence of a subsetS inCn+m (T) which is ...

On the controllability of a class of nonlinear systems

IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 1971
For the system dx/dt = f(x, t) + B(t)u with f(x, t) defined in a bounded region in the state space, sufficient conditions for the initial states to be controllable are given.

Controllability of nonlinear systems with delay in control [PDF]

open access: possibleIEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 1975
Sufficient conditions for global relative controllability of certain types of nonlinear time-varying systems with time-variable delay in control are given. The results are obtained by using Schauder's fixed-point theorem. The results obtained are a generalization of Davison [3].

Perturbations of nonlinear controllable systems

1980 19th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control including the Symposium on Adaptive Processes, 1980
In the class of nonlinear, nonautonomous control systems we consider the property of controllability to a compact set on a fixed time interval, and we give a sufficient condition for this property to be preserved under small perturbations of the control system.
