Investigation of Resonance Characteristics of More Than 10 000 Metal‐Coated Silicon MEMS Cantilevers Using Machine Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
More than 10 000 metal‐coated silicon MEMS cantilevers are fabricated and characterized to build a large‐scale experimental dataset spanning multiple vibrational modes. Machine learning algorithms are benchmarked to predict resonance frequency and quality factor, with ensemble based models achieving accuracy approaching experimental uncertainty.

Periodic Solutions to Nonlinear Second-Order Difference Equations with Two-Dimensional Kernel

open access: yes
In this work, we provide conditions for the existence of periodic solutions to nonlinear, second-order difference equations of the form y(t+2)+by(t+1)+cy(t)=g(y(t)), where b and c are real parameters, c≠0, and g:R→R is ...

Solvability of nonlinear difference equations of fourth order

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2014
In this article we show the existence of solutions to the nonlinear difference equation $$ x_n=\frac{x_{n-3}x_{n-4}}{x_{n-1}(a_n+b_nx_{n-2}x_{n-3}x_{n-4})}, \quad n\in\mathbb{N}_0, $$ where the sequences $(a_n)_{n\in\mathbb{N}_0}$ and $(b_n)_{n\in ...

Positive periodic solutions of nonlinear functional difference equations

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2002
In this paper, we apply a cone theoretic fixed point theorem to obtain sufficient conditions for the existence of multiple positive periodic solutions to the nonlinear functional difference equations $$ x(n+1)=a(n)x(n)pm lambda h(n) f(x(n-au(n))). $$

Accurate solution estimates for nonlinear nonautonomous vector difference equations

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2004
The paper deals with the vector discrete dynamical system xk+1=Akxk+fk(xk). Thewell-known result by Perron states that this system is asymptotically stable if Ak≡A=const is stable and fk(x)≡f˜(x)=o(‖x‖).

Implantable Ionic Memristors Based on Natural Polymer Heterojunctions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We report an implantable natural polymer‐based ionic memristor composed of hyaluronic acid, chitosan, and PDMS. The device achieved 98.94% accuracy in MNIST classification while reducing training time by 36.8% compared with a conventional artificial neural network (ANN).

High order compact finite difference schemes for a nonlinear Black-Scholes equation [PDF]

open access: yes
A nonlinear Black-Scholes equation which models transaction costs arising in the hedging of portfolios is discretized semi-implicitly using high order compact finite difference schemes. In particular, the compact schemes of Rigal are generalized.

Monolithic Oxidation Enables Ultrathin Vertically Graded Tantalum Oxide for Low‐Voltage, Low‐Variability Memristive Switching

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Monolithic UV‐ozone oxidation of Ta forms an ultrathin Ta2O5/TaOx bilayer enabling resistive switching with a vertical defect gradient. A stoichiometric surface layer over an oxygen‐deficient sublayer promotes localized filament nucleation near the top interface, enabling low‐voltage operation, and reduced cycle‐to‐cycle variability.

Memristive‐Gated RC‐Delay Synaptic Transistors for Time‐Encoded Analog in‐Memory Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A Memristive‐Gated Transistor for Time‐Encoded Analog In‐Memory Computing — By exploiting the RC delay of a self‐rectifying interface‐type memristor, nonlinear I–V distortion is structurally bypassed, enabling 3‐bit nonvolatile memory, spike‐timing‐based analog encoding, and hardware‐calibrated reservoir‐computing validation within a unified device ...
