Oscillation of Nonlinear Delay Difference Equations
The authors investigate oscillatory properties of the first order nonlinear delay difference equation \[ \Delta y_n+p_nf(y_{n-k}),\quad \Delta y_n:=y_{n+1}-y_n, \tag{*} \] where \(p_n\geq 0\), \(k\) is a positive integer and \(f\) is a continuous function satisfying \(uf(u)>0\) for \(u\neq 0\).

Nonlinear differential−difference equations
Journal of Mathematical Physics, 1975A method is presented which enables one to obtain and solve certain classes of nonlinear differential−difference equations. The introduction of a new discrete eigenvalue problem allows the exact solution of the self−dual network equations to be found by inverse scattering.

Linear integral equations and nonlinear difference-difference equations
Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1984We present a systematic method to obtain various integrable nonlinear difference-difference equations and the associated linear integral equations from which their solutions can be inferred. It is argued that these difference-difference equations can be regarded as arising from Bianchi identities expressing the commutativity of Bäcklund transformations.

Nonlinear Difference Equations
1993In this chapter, we consider one-dimensional nonlinear autonomous difference equations having a continuous argument of the form $$ x\left( {t + 1} \right) = f\left( {x\left( t \right)} \right),{\text{ }}t{\text{ }} \in {\text{ }}{\mathbb{R}^ + }, $$ (1.1) where f: I → I is a given function, x(t): ℝ+ → I is an unknown function, and I ∈ ℝ1 is ...

Polynomial solutions of a nonlinear difference equation
Numerical Algorithms, 2013The paper is mainly concerned with the existence of polynomial solutions for the nonlinear functional (difference) equation \(A_{n+1} \Delta y = A_n y^n +A_{n-1} y^{n-1} +\dots +A_1 y +A_0, \) where \(n\geq 2\) is an integer, \(\Delta\) is the forward difference operator acting in the form \((\Delta y)(x)=y(x+1)-y(x)\) and \(A_j\) is a polynomial in ...
