Periodic solutions of nonlinear vector difference equations
Essentially nonlinear difference equations in a Euclidean space are considered. Conditions for the existence of periodic solutions and solution estimates are derived.

On oscillatory nonlinear fourth-order difference equations with delays [PDF]
In this work, oscillatory behaviour of solutions of a class of fourth-order neutral functional difference equations of the form \begin{equation*} \Delta^2(r(n)\Delta^2(y(n)+p(n)y(n-m)))+ q(n)G(y(n-k))=0 \end{equation*} is studied under the assumption ...

Digital Cognitive Phenotyping for Differential Diagnosis and Monitoring in Neurological Conditions
ABSTRACT Objective To assess the utility, accessibility, and equivalence to supervised scales of online cognitive assessment in older individuals with cognitive impairment. Methods Patients with Alzheimer's disease (AD, n = 31), idiopathic normal pressure hydrocephalus (iNPH, n = 26), and traumatic brain injury (TBI, n = 23) completed online cognitive ...

On a class of fourth-order nonlinear difference equations
We consider a class of fourth-order nonlinear difference equations. The classification of nonoscillatory solutions is given. Next, we divide the set of solutions of these equations into two types: F+- and F−-solutions.

Gravity‐Dependent Modulation of Downbeat Nystagmus: Insights From Velocity‐Storage Dysfunction
ABSTRACT Objective Downbeat nystagmus varies with head position, a phenomenon termed gravity‐dependent modulation. We aimed to clarify its mechanism using a velocity‐storage model. Methods In 10 patients with downbeat nystagmus due to cerebellar disorders, we recorded eye movements at different pitch‐ and roll‐axis head positions.

Asymptotic Solutions of nonlinear difference equations [PDF]
We study the asymptotics of first-order nonlinear difference equations. In particular we present an asymptotic functional equation for potential asymptotic behaviour, and a theorem stating sufficient conditions for the existence of an actual solution with such asymptotic behaviour.

ABSTRACT Objective Progressive brain atrophy has now been widely observed in the chronic stages of moderate–severe traumatic brain injury (msTBI), but there is only coarse information regarding its prevalence and magnitude, and whether rate of atrophy accelerates or attenuates across time. We examined these questions in a Canadian inception cohort from

In this paper, we consider a boundary value problem (BVP) for nonlinear difference equations on the discrete semi-axis in which the left-hand side being a second order linear difference expression belongs to the so-called Weyl-Hamburger limit-circle case.

Utility of the APE2 Score as a Diagnostic Tool for Autoimmune Encephalitis
ABSTRACT Objective To retrospectively evaluate the diagnostic performance of the Antibody Prevalence in Epilepsy and Encephalopathy (APE2) score relative to clinician‐adjudicated autoimmune encephalitis (AE) and the Graus criteria in a tertiary neuroimmunology referral cohort, including antibody‐negative AE.

Positive Decreasing Solutions of Higher-Order Nonlinear Difference Equations
It is shown that the decay rates of the positive, monotone decreasing solutions approaching the zero equilibrium of higher-order nonlinear difference equations are related to the positive characteristic values of the corresponding linearized equation ...
