Low-Rank Kernel-Based Semisupervised Discriminant Analysis
Semisupervised Discriminant Analysis (SDA) aims at dimensionality reduction with both limited labeled data and copious unlabeled data, but it may fail to discover the intrinsic geometry structure when the data manifold is highly nonlinear.

An Emergent Space for Distributed Data With Hidden Internal Order Through Manifold Learning
Manifold-learning techniques are routinely used in mining complex spatiotemporal data to extract useful, parsimonious data representations/parametrizations; these are, in turn, useful in nonlinear model identification tasks.

Dimensional reduction of nonlinear time delay systems [PDF]
Whenever there is a time delay in a dynamical system, the study of stability becomes an infinite‐dimensional problem. The centre manifold theorem, together with the classical Hopf bifurcation, is the most valuable approach for simplifying the infinite‐dimensional problem without the assumption of small time delay.

Finite-Dimensional Reduction of Systems of Nonlinear Diffusion Equations
We present a class of one-dimensional systems of nonlinear parabolic equations for which long-time phase dynamics can be described by an ODE with a Lipschitz vector field in R^n. In the considered case of the Dirichlet boundary value problem sufficient conditions for a finite-dimensional reduction turn out to be much wider than the known conditions of ...

Locally linear embedding algorithm : Extensions and applications [PDF]
Raw data sets taken with various capturing devices are usually multidimensional and need to be preprocessed before applying subsequent operations, such as clustering, classification, outlier detection, noise filtering etc.

Simulation of Inhomogeneous Refractive Index Fields Induced by Hot Tailored Forming Components
This article presents a simulation model for simulating inhomogeneous refractive index fields (IRIF) in hot‐forged components, accounting for thermal influences and complex geometries. Through this simulation, a priori knowledge about the propagation of the IRIF can be obtained, allowing for the positioning of the component or an optical measurement ...

KupferDigital: Ontology‐Based Digital Representation for the Copper Life Cycle
It is demonstrated how data from different stages in the life cycle of a copper product can be stored in an ontology‐based data space. In order to showcase the methods and tools used in the project, four use cases are presented that show how data from different sources can be semantically described and queried from a shared data space.
