Nonlinear analysis of dynamic signature
Indian Journal of Physics, 2013Signature is a long trained motor skill resulting in well combination of segments like strokes and loops. It is a physical manifestation of complex motor processes. The problem, generally stated, is that how relative simplicity in behavior emerges from considerable complexity of perception–action system that produces behavior within an infinitely ...

Nonlinear Dynamic Analysis of Pathological Voices
2013Research on the human health evaluation through sound analysis is now attracting more and more researchers in the world. Acoustic analysis could be a useful tool to diagnose the disease. Therefore, pathological voices can be used to evaluate the health status as a complementary technique, such as bronchitis.

Nonlinear dynamical analysis of speech
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1996This paper reports results of the estimation of dynamical invariants, namely Lyapunov exponents, dimension, and metric entropy for speech signals. Two optimality criteria from dynamical systems literature, namely singular value decomposition method and the redundancy method, are used to reconstruct state space trajectories of speech and make ...

Analysis of a Nonlinear Dynamic Vibration Absorber
Journal of Applied Mechanics, 1953Abstract This paper presents a mathematical analysis of the action of a dynamic vibration absorber. The system analyzed consists of a main mass attached to a rigid foundation by a linear spring coupled to the absorber mass by a spring of nonlinear characteristics.

Dynamic and Nonlinear Static Analysis
2018Chapter four focused on demonstration the basics of structural dynamic and explain the fundamental process to determine structural seismic response. In order to have a clear comprehending of the highlighted concepts within this book, it is tried to present the application of theories and calculation processes in a real buildings in all sections ...

Nonlinear flight dynamics analysis
Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society of London. Series A: Mathematical, Physical and Engineering Sciences, 1998This introduction has two aims. First, it begins the issue with an overview of how modern nonlineardynamics analysis techniques may be of benefit to the flight dynamicist.

Journal of Occupational Therapy, Schools, & Early Intervention, 2008
This article explores the nonlinear dynamics perspective as a current and relevant scientific knowledge base for the profession and practice of occupational therapy in complex environments. The emergent concepts of learning, meaning, behavior, and context in sensory integration are presented as a comparison knowledge base currently used by occupational

Nonlinear dynamic analysis by Dynamic Relaxation method
Structural Engineering and Mechanics, 2008Numerical integration is an efficient approach for nonlinear dynamic analysis. In this paper, general category of the implicit integration errors will be discussed. In order to decrease the errors, Dynamic Relaxation method with modified time step (MFT) will be used.

Nonlinear dynamical factor analysis
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2001A general method for state space analysis is presented where not only underlying factors generating the data are estimated, but also the dynamics behind time series in factor space are modeled. The mappings and the states are all unknown. The nonlinearity of the mappings makes the problem highly underdetermined and thus challenging.

A nonlinear dynamical systems analysis of fricative consonants
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1995Acoustic waveforms of the strident fricatives /s/, /z/, /sh/, and /yog/ spoken by two native American English speakers are analyzed using modern chaotic analysis techniques. Fricative data are extracted from both intervocalic and sustained utterances. For comparison, acoustic waveforms of the vowels /a/, /i/, and /u/ are also analyzed.
