Analysis of a Nonlinear Dynamic Vibration Absorber

Abstract This paper presents a mathematical analysis of the action of a dynamic vibration absorber. The system analyzed consists of a main mass attached to a rigid foundation by a linear spring coupled to the absorber mass by a spring of nonlinear characteristics.

Qualitative analysis of nonlinear dynamic circuits

The experimental analog design system EASY was developed by Sommer and Homeber (1991) to support a flexible design of electronic analog circuits. One component of EASY, the qualitative analysis, uses qualitative values to analyse a circuit. It supports the designer in verifying his ideas and leading to a better understanding of the circuit function.
