Critical fluctuations, intermittent dynamics and Tsallis statistics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
It is pointed out that the dynamics of the order parameter at a thermal critical point obeys the precepts of the nonextensive Tsallis statistics. We arrive at this conclusion by putting together two well-defined statistical-mechanical developments.

Unraveling the Molecular Mechanisms of Glioma Recurrence: A Study Integrating Single‐Cell and Spatial Transcriptomics

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Glioma recurrence severely impacts patient prognosis, with current treatments showing limited efficacy. Traditional methods struggle to analyze recurrence mechanisms due to challenges in assessing tumor heterogeneity, spatial dynamics, and gene networks.

Universality in nonadiabatic behaviour of classical actions in nonlinear models with separatrix crossings

open access: yes, 2007
We discuss dynamics of approximate adiabatic invariants in several nonlinear models being related to physics of Bose-Einstein condensates (BEC). We show that nonadiabatic dynamics in Feshbach resonance passage, nonlinear Landau-Zener (NLZ) tunnelling ...

A Q‐Learning Algorithm to Solve the Two‐Player Zero‐Sum Game Problem for Nonlinear Systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, Volume 39, Issue 3, Page 566-581, March 2025.
A Q‐learning algorithm to solve the two‐player zero‐sum game problem for nonlinear systems. ABSTRACT This paper deals with the two‐player zero‐sum game problem, which is a bounded L2$$ {L}_2 $$‐gain robust control problem. Finding an analytical solution to the complex Hamilton‐Jacobi‐Issacs (HJI) equation is a challenging task.

A variety of closed-form solutions, Painlevé analysis, and solitary wave profiles for modified KdV–Zakharov–Kuznetsov equation in (3+1)-dimensions

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2022
The major goal of the article is to use the generalized exponential rational function method to seek abundant closed-form solutions and dynamics of solitary wave profiles to the (3+1)-dimensional modified KdV–Zakharov–Kuznetsov (MKdV–ZK) equation.

Locating Nonlinearity in Mechanical Systems: A Dynamic Network Perspective [PDF]

open access: yes
Though it is a crucial step for most identification methods in nonlinear structural dynamics, nonlinearity location is a sparsely addressed topic in the literature. In fact, locating nonlinearities in mechanical systems turns out to be a challenging problem when treated nonparametrically, that is, without fitting a model. The present contribution takes

On the computation of the slow dynamics of nonlinear modes of mechanical systems [PDF]

open access: yesMechanical Systems and Signal Processing, 2014
A novel method for the numerical prediction of the slowly varying dynamics of nonlinear mechanical systems has been developed. The method is restricted to the regime of an isolated nonlinear mode and consists of a two-step procedure: In the first step, a multiharmonic analysis of the autonomous system is performed to directly compute the amplitude ...

A Robust Adaptive One‐Sample‐Ahead Preview Super‐Twisting Sliding Mode Controller

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
Block Diagram of the Robust Adaptive One‐Sample‐Ahead Preview Super‐Twisting Sliding Mode Controller. ABSTRACT This article introduces a discrete‐time robust adaptive one‐sample‐ahead preview super‐twisting sliding mode controller. A stability analysis of the controller by Lyapunov criteria is developed to demonstrate its robustness in handling both ...
