Previous work has demonstrated improved diagnostic performance of highly trained breast radiologists when provided with B-mode plus elastography images over B-mode images alone. In those studies we have observed that elasticity imaging can be difficult to perform if there is substantial motion of tissue out of the image plane.

A VDQ‐based multifield approach to the 2D compressible nonlinear elasticity
International Journal for Numerical Methods in Engineering, 2019A numerical multifield methodology is developed to address the large deformation problems of hyperelastic solids based on the 2D nonlinear elasticity in the compressible and nearly incompressible regimes.

Elastic nonlinearity of aerogels
Physical Review B, 1992We have investigated the sound propagation in ${\mathrm{SiO}}_{2}$ aerogels and three types of organic aerogels: resorcinol formaldehyde, melamine formaldehyde, and vitreous carbon. The main parameter determining the sound velocity is the aerogel density; however, the bond strength and cross linking also influence the stiffness of these materials ...

We present the solution of the nonlinear inverse elasticity problem, wherein we image the linear and nonlinear hyperelastic properties of soft tissues in-vivo. For this, we solve a constrained optimization problem iteratively. The discrepancy between measured and predicted displacement fields is minimized in the objective function in the presence of ...

Nonlinear Elastic Shell Theory
1983The aim of this monograph is to unify, simplify and extend a number of results that have appeared in the last 20 years in the field of nonlinear-shell-theories. Authors adopt a mixed approach by using integral equations of motion and thermodynamics of a three-dimensional body taken over its reference shape.
