Nonlinear electric conductivity and thermal conductivity of WS2/EPDM field grading materials
Journal of Applied Physics, 2017In this work, composites with different flake-like WS2 filler contents were prepared, using ethylene propylene diene monomer as matrix. The nonlinear electric conductivity of composites at 25, 50, and 80 °C was measured, and the mechanisms were analyzed.

Electrically Switchable Longitudinal Nonlinear Conductivity in Magnetic Semiconductors
Physical Review LettersWriting data by electric field (as opposed to electric current) offers promises for energy efficient memory devices. While this data writing scheme is enabled by the magnetoelectric effect, the narrow spectrum of room-temperature magnetoelectrics hinders the design of practical magnetoelectric memories, and the exploration of other mechanisms toward ...

Nonlinear electrical conductivity in hydrogen plasma
Physics of Fluids B: Plasma Physics, 1993Employing the Zubarev method for the derivation of a nonequilibrium statistical operator, Vlasov–Uehling–Uhlenbeck quantum kinetic equations are derived for the distribution functions of clusters with arbitrary mass number. Considering a partially ionized hydrogen plasma, the electronic distribution function is determined numerically for the ...

Nonlinear electrical conductivity in heterogeneous media
Proceedings of the Royal Society of London. Series A: Mathematical, Physical and Engineering Sciences, 1997Let a spatial domain \(V\) be divided into domains \(V_r\) \((r=1,2, \dots, N)\), and let \(f_r\) be the characteristic function of the set \(V_r\). The authors consider a composite material derived by the nonlinear equations \(\text{div} {\mathbf J} =0\), \({\mathbf J}= {\partial \over \partial {\mathbf E}} (\sum^N_{r=1} f_r({\mathbf x}) f_r ({\mathbf

Electrical Conductivity Relaxation in the Nonlinear Regime
Journal of The Electrochemical Society, 2017Electrical Conductivity Relaxation (ECR) is an experimental procedure used to assess the chemical diffusion and reaction coefficients (i.e. D-chem and k(chem)) of mixed ionic electronic conductors (MIECs). The analytical model usually employed to fit the ECR data is based on linear physics.

Kinetic theory of nonlinear electrical conductivity
Annals of Physics, 1968Abstract The nature of the corrections to Ohm's law in the weak field domain is investigated. Exact solutions of kinetic equations with separable collision terms are obtained. The distribution function is shown to have an essential singularity in several regions of velocity space as the applied field tends to zero.

Odd Nonlinear Conductivity under Spatial Inversion in Chiral Tellurium.
Physical Review Letters, 2023Electrical transport in noncentrosymmetric materials departs from the well-established phenomenological Ohm's law. Instead of a linear relation between current and electric field, a nonlinear conductivity emerges along specific crystallographic ...
