Use of a Molecular Signature Response Classifier to Inform Treatment Selection Improves Clinical Disease Activity Among Patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis Initiating a Biologic or Targeted Synthetic Disease‐Modifying Antirheumatic Drug

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective We assessed the effectiveness of PrismRA to improve clinical outcomes among patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) initiating treatment with a biologic or targeted synthetic disease‐modifying antirheumatic drug (b/tsDMARD). Methods PrismRA incorporated 19 gene expression features and four clinical features to assess a patient's likelihood of

Infinitely Many Elliptic Solutions to a Simple Equation and Applications

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2013
Based on auxiliary equation method and Bäcklund transformations, we present an idea to find infinitely many Weierstrass and Jacobi elliptic function solutions to some nonlinear problems.

Exploring nonlinear drift waves: Limiting cases and dynamics [PDF]

open access: yesAIP Advances
A general equation for drift waves is derived, incorporating both nonlinear electron density perturbation and ion vorticity effects. It is emphasized that the well-known Hasegawa–Mima (HM) equation for drift waves [A. Hasegawa and K. Mima, Phys.

A Q‐Learning Algorithm to Solve the Two‐Player Zero‐Sum Game Problem for Nonlinear Systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, Volume 39, Issue 3, Page 566-581, March 2025.
A Q‐learning algorithm to solve the two‐player zero‐sum game problem for nonlinear systems. ABSTRACT This paper deals with the two‐player zero‐sum game problem, which is a bounded L2$$ {L}_2 $$‐gain robust control problem. Finding an analytical solution to the complex Hamilton‐Jacobi‐Issacs (HJI) equation is a challenging task.

On nonlinear evolution equation of second order in Banach spaces

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2018
Here we study the existence of a solution and also the behavior of the existing solution of the abstract nonlinear differential equation of second order that, in particular, is the nonlinear hyperbolic equation with nonlinear main parts, and in the ...

Current Tracking Adaptive Control of Brushless DC Motors

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
In this paper, the current tracking for Brushless Direct Current motors is approached considering uncertainty in the parameters of the motor's model. An adaptive control scheme to compensate electrical parameters uncertainty is proposed without requiring any knowledge of the mechanical parameters.

The Periodic Solutions to Kawahara Equation by Means of the Auxiliary Equation with a Sixth-Degree Nonlinear Term

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, 2013
It is well known that different types of exact solutions of an auxiliary equation produce new types of exact travelling wave solutions to nonlinear equations.

An Adaptive Human Pilot Model With Reaction Time Delay for Enhanced Adaptive Control in Piloted Systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
This work introduces an adaptive human pilot model that captures pilot time‐delay effects in adaptive control systems. The model enables the prediction of pilot–controller interactions, facilitating safer integration and improved design of adaptive controllers for piloted applications.

Terminal value problems for first and second order nonlinear equations on time scales

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2008
In this paper we examine "terminal" value problems for dynamic equations on time scales - that is, a dynamic equation whose solutions are asymptotic at infinity.
