Output feedback variable structure-like control of nonlinear mechanical systems
42nd IEEE International Conference on Decision and Control (IEEE Cat. No.03CH37475), 2004In this paper, we develop a new output feedback, variable structure-like (discontinuous) tracking controller for a class of uncertain, nonlinear, multi-input multi-output, mechanical systems whose dynamics are first-order differentiable. A novel filter design and Lyapunov-type stability analysis are used to prove semi-global asymptotic tracking.

Study of an experimental electro-mechanical feedback oscillator with special nonlinearity
Physics Letters A, 1989Abstract An electro-mechanical feedback oscillator with special nonlinearity is studied experimentally and theoretically. A stable state and a modulated state are recorded. Based on the analysis of the relevant differential equations, we give an explanation of the experiments and the criterion of the stability of the system.
