Some properties of nonlinear Volterra-Stieltjes integral operators
We study some properties of the nonlinear Volterra-Stieltjes integral operator of general form which is defined with help of the Stieltjes integral with the kernel depending on two variables. The results obtained in the paper generalize those obtained earlier for the Volterra-Stieltjes integral operators having less general form.

On the ODE/IM correspondence for minimal models [PDF]
Within the framework of the ODE/IM correspondence, we show that the minimal conformal field theories with c < 1 emerge naturally from the monodromy properties of certain families of ordinary differential ...

The nonlocal problem for fractal diffusion equation
Over the past few decades, the theory of pseudodifferential operators (PDO) and equations with such operators (PDE) has been intensively developed. The authors of a new direction in the theory of PDE, which they called parabolic PDE with non-smooth ...

Fredholm properties and nonlinear Dirichlet problems for mixed type operators
AbstractFor a class of linear partial differential operators of mixed elliptic–hyperbolic type with homogeneous Dirichlet data on the entire boundary of suitable planar domains, we exploit the recent spectral theory of Lupo et al. [2] to establish a Fredholm alternative for weak solutions of the linear Dirichlet problem.

On one property of inverses of nonlinear operators associated with M-matrices [PDF]
An operator from \(\mathbb{R}^n\) to \(\mathbb{R}^n\) of the structure \(M(x)=Ax+F(x)\), where \(A\) is an \(M\)-matrix and \(F(x)\) is a nonlinear operator from \(\mathbb{R}^n\) to \(\mathbb{R}^n\) is considered. The main result of this paper is the statement that if \(F(x)\) satisfies certain reasonable conditions, then \(M^{-1}\) maps the cone of ...

Lagrangian Averaging, Nonlinear Waves, and Shock Regularization [PDF]
In this thesis, we explore various models for the flow of a compressible fluid as well as model equations for shock formation, one of the main features of compressible fluid flows.
