TDM-to-WDM conversion from 130 Gbit/s to 3 × 43 Gbit/s using XPM in a NOLM switch
We report the first demonstration of OTDM-to-WDM conversion from 130 Gbit/s simultaneously to 3 × 43 Gbit/s WDM channels in a nonlinear optical loop mirror (NOLM).

Architecture‐Driven Functional Coupling in Vertically Aligned Nanocomposites
Vertically aligned nanocomposites define a growth‐engineered architecture in which vertical interfaces, strain fields, defect pathways, and phase connectivity are created simultaneously. This review shows how these architectural features couple ferroic, optical, ionic, electrochemical, and device responses, establishing design rules and open challenges

Semiconductor optical amplifier-based nonlinear optical-loop mirror with feedback [PDF]
The behavior of a semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA)-based nonlinear loop mirror with feedback has been investigated as a potential device for all-optical signal processing. In the feedback device, input signal pulses (ones) are injected into the loop, and amplified reflected pulses are fed back into the loop as switching pulses. The feedback device

Packet loss rate of an optical burst switch with nonlinear optical loop mirrors
Optical Burst Switching (OBS) is designed to efficiently exploit the enormous bandwidth offered by the optical fiber. Contention is one of the major problems in the deployment of OBS networks. In this paper, a new contention resolution method is introduced.
