Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.

Dielectric and optical properties of organic photorefractive materials [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
The work presented in this thesis is derived from experimentation in the field of polymeric photorefractive materials. Low T(_g) polymeric composites were prepared, based on the well-known photoconductive polymer PVK (maximum 50% w/w), sensitized with ...

Highly nonlinear BiOBr nanoflakes for hybrid integrated photonics

open access: yesAPL Photonics, 2019
We investigate the nonlinear optical properties of BiOBr nanoflakes—a novel two-dimensional (2D) layered material from the bismuth oxyhalide family. We measure the nonlinear absorption and Kerr nonlinearity of BiOBr nanoflakes at both 800 nm and 1550 nm ...

Limitations of graphene nanocoated optical tapers for high-power nonlinear applications

open access: yesOptical Materials: X, 2019
In this letter, we investigate the limitations of graphene as a saturable absorber for high-power nonlinear optical applications. The response of graphene nanocoated optical tapers against the average optical power injected is tested.
