On Geometric-Analytic Aspects of Solvable Nonlinear Ordinary Differential Equations and Some Applications

open access: yesMathematics
A geometric-analytic approach to studying invariants of solvable nonlinear ordinary differential equations is developed. In particular, there is described in detail a general scheme of constructing solvable nonlinear ordinary differential equations ...

Nonlinear Spectra for Parameter Dependent Ordinary Differential Equations

open access: yesNonlinear Analysis, 2007
Eigenvalue problems of the form x 00 = −λf(x) + µg(x), (i), x(0) = 0, x(1) = 0 (ii) are considered. We are looking for (λ, µ) such that the problem (i), (ii) has a nontrivial solution.

Behavior of Solutions of a Nonlinear Ordinary Differential Equation

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 1998
The authors consider positive solutions to initial value problems \[ (\omega^{-\beta} \omega')'- {y\over\beta +2}\omega' +{1\over \beta+2} \omega=0,\;y>0 \tag{*} \] \[ \omega(0) =\eta,\quad \omega' (0)=1, \tag{**} \] where ...

Similarity Solutions to Nonlinear Diffusion/Harry Dym Fractional Equations

open access: yesAdvances in Mathematical Physics, 2021
By using scalar similarity transformation, nonlinear model of time-fractional diffusion/Harry Dym equation is transformed to corresponding ordinary fractional differential equations, from which a travelling-wave similarity solution of time-fractional ...

A boundary value problem for nonlinear differential equation with arbitrary functions

open access: yesҚарағанды университетінің хабаршысы. Математика сериясы, 2017
This article describes a semi-batch nonlinear boundary value problem for differential equations with partial derivatives. The equations containing arbitrary parameters were considered in Whitham G.B.

Adaptive Wavelet Precise Integration Method for Nonlinear Black-Scholes Model Based on Variational Iteration Method

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2013
An adaptive wavelet precise integration method (WPIM) based on the variational iteration method (VIM) for Black-Scholes model is proposed. Black-Scholes model is a very useful tool on pricing options.

Asymptotic stability of solutions of nonlinear fractional differential equations of order 1 < α < 2

open access: yes上海师范大学学报. 自然科学版, 2015
This paper is mainly concerned with the asymptotic stability of the solutions of a class of nonlinear fractional differential equations of order 1 < α < 2 in a weighted Banach space.

Longitudinal genome‐wide aneuploidy measurements in circulating cell‐free DNA to predict lack of benefit from pembrolizumab in patients with metastatic urothelial cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Many patients with urothelial cancer do not benefit from treatment with pembrolizumab, while at risk of severe side effects. Changes in the levels of circulating tumor DNA early during treatment, measured by a simple and affordable assay that can be easily implemented in the clinic, can be used as a prognostic tool to identify these patients.

Neural Ordinary Differential Equations for Nonlinear System Identification

open access: yes2022 American Control Conference (ACC), 2022
Neural ordinary differential equations (NODE) have been recently proposed as a promising approach for nonlinear system identification tasks. In this work, we systematically compare their predictive performance with current state-of-the-art nonlinear and classical linear methods.
