The Eddy current problem with temperature dependent permeability

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2003
We prove the uniqueness and existence of a local solution in time for a system of PDE's modelling the eddy currents and the heating of a cylindrical conductor.

Decision‐making factors for variable rate application of seed and fertilizer in precision agriculture systems: A review

open access: yesCrop, Forage &Turfgrass Management, Volume 12, Issue 1, June 2026.
Abstract Input management practices within precision agriculture systems have enabled grain and oilseed producers to apply agricultural inputs variably, facilitating resource, yield, and profit optimization. Despite significant progress in variable rate technologies, research comparing different methodologies and comprehensive guidelines to assist ...

Controllability of nonlinear degenerate parabolic cascade systems

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2016
Summary: This article studies of null controllability property of nonlinear coupled one dimensional degenerate parabolic equations. These equations form a cascade system, that is, the solution of the first equation acts as a control in the second equation and the control function acts only directly on the first equation.

Evaluation of Modeling Assumptions for Predicting Structural Damage and Train Derailment Under Earthquake Loading

open access: yesEarthquake Engineering &Structural Dynamics, Volume 55, Issue 7, Page 1514-1532, June 2026.
ABSTRACT The rapid development of new railway networks and the aging of existing infrastructure in seismic‐prone regions continue to motivate the need for efficient methods to simulate the dynamic behavior of coupled train track structure systems. While detailed train–structure interaction (TSI) models can capture complex mechanisms, they are often too

On‐Scanner Correction of Gradient Nonlinearity Bias for Accurate Assessment of Diffusion Heterogeneity Across Bone Sites in Myelofibrosis Patients

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 95, Issue 6, Page 3386-3395, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Purpose To improve accuracy of apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) measurement across different bone‐marrow (BM) sites for myelofibrosis (MF) patients. Methods Vendor‐provided ADC gradient nonlinearity correction (GNC) was implemented for 41 MF study subjects on a 3T clinical scanner.

Blow-up of solutions for a system of nonlinear parabolic equations

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2013
The initial boundary value problem for a system of parabolic equations in a bounded domain is considered. We prove that, under suitable conditions on the nonlinearity and certain initial data, the lower bound for the blow-up time is determined if blow-

Input Layer Regularization and Automated Regularization Hyperparameter Tuning for Myelin Water Estimation Using Deep Learning

open access: yesNMR in Biomedicine, Volume 39, Issue 6, June 2026.
We propose a novel deep learning algorithm for predicting the myelin water fraction from multiple gradient‐echo or spin‐echo pulse sequences arising in magnetic resonance relaxometry (MRR) measurements of the human brain. Our method incorporates both regularized nonlinear least squares and pure deep learning through a concatenation paradigm known as ...
