A Numerical Algorithm for Nonlinear Parametric Vibration Analysis of a Viscoelastic Moving Belt

International Journal of Nonlinear Sciences and Numerical Simulation, 2002
Summary: A numerical algorithm is proposed to analyze the parametric vibrations of viscoelastic moving belts. The method of finite differences is employed to discrete spatial variables. The partial differential equation is transformed into a large system of differential-algebraic equations.

A Sequential Algebraic Parametric Identification Approach for Nonlinear Vibrating Mechanical Systems

Asian Journal of Control, 2017
AbstractA systematic on‐line algebraic parametric identification method in time domain is proposed for active vibration control on nonlinear vibrating mechanical systems. The identification is performed iteratively, to reduce the computational effort of the parameter estimation process, for finite or infinite dimensional large flexible structures into ...

Nonlinear modes of parametric vibrations and their applications to beams dynamics

Journal of Sound and Vibration, 2009
An iterative loop combining nonlinear modes and the Rauscher method is suggested for analyzing finite degree-of-freedom nonlinear mechanical systems with parametric excitation. This method is applied to an analysis of the parametric vibration of beams.

Vibration Control for Parametrically Excited Coupled Nonlinear Oscillators

Journal of Computational and Nonlinear Dynamics, 2008
A complex nonlinear system under state feedback control with a time delay corresponding to two coupled nonlinear oscillators with a parametric excitation is investigated by an asymptotic perturbation method based on Fourier expansion and time rescaling. Four coupled equations for the amplitude and the phase of solutions are derived.

A Parametric Approach to System Identification of Nonlinear Vibrating Structures

1993
Modal analysis techniques have become an important part of the engineering design and development process. These techniques use the modal properties identified from measured vibration data to validate and update analytical models. The basis of these techniques is the assumption that the structure under test is linear. Thus, any presence of nonlinearity

Direct Parametric Analysis of Resonance Regimes for Nonlinear Vibrations of Bladed Disks

Journal of Turbomachinery, 2006
A method has been developed to calculate directly resonance frequencies and resonance amplitudes as functions of design parameters or as a function of excitation levels. The method provides, for the first time, this capability for analysis of strongly nonlinear periodic vibrations of bladed disks and other structures with nonlinear interaction at ...
