Recent Advances in Stimulated Brillouin Scattering in Integrated Photonics

This review systematically surveys recent advances in stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) within integrated photonics. It begins by elucidating the fundamental mechanisms of stimulated coupling between photons and acoustic phonons in nanoscale waveguides, enhanced by the photoelastic and moving boundary effects.

Metalens‐Enabled Double‐Helix Point Spread Function for Multifunctional Imaging

A single metalens is employed to generate a double‐helix point spread function (DH‐PSF). At the design wavelength, the PSF rotation angle varies linearly with depth, while the lobe spacing follows an inverse dependence on axial position. At a fixed depth, the lobe spacing further exhibits a linear dependence on wavelength due to dispersion.

5,12‐TIPS‐Substitution of Tetracene: Effects on Redox Potentials and Cyclic Voltammetric Behavior in CH2Cl2 and THF1

Tetracene and bis(tri(isopropyl)silylethynyl)tetracene (TIPS‐tetracene) exhibit characteristic similarities and differences in their electrochemical redox behavior depending on the base solvent of the electrolyte. Analysis of cyclic voltammograms allows the quantification of substituent and solvent effects and the calculation of an “electrochemical gap.

Amine‐Triggered Azabenz‐Annulation of Cyclic Secondary Amine‐Functionalized Perylene Diimides for Dual‐Mode Sensing

Pictet‐Spengler Intermediate of a cyclic secondary amine perylene diimide undergoing amine‐triggered conversion to azabenz‐annulated perylene diimide, inducing a high‐contrast green‐to‐yellow color change along with fluorescence turn‐on, demonstrating intuitive “safe” to “warning” dual‐mode sensing.
