Towards Nonlinearity: The <i>p</i>-Regularity Theory. [PDF]

open access: yesEntropy (Basel)
We present recent advances in the analysis of nonlinear problems involving singular (degenerate) operators. The results are obtained within the framework of p-regularity theory, which has been successfully developed over the past four decades. We illustrate the theory with applications to degenerate problems in various areas of mathematics, including ...

Regularized nonlinear acceleration [PDF]

open access: yesMathematical Programming, 2018
We describe a convergence acceleration technique for unconstrained optimization problems. Our scheme computes estimates of the optimum from a nonlinear average of the iterates produced by any optimization method. The weights in this average are computed via a simple linear system, whose solution can be updated online.

Boundary regularity of weak solutions to nonlinear elliptic obstacle problems

open access: yesBoundary Value Problems, 2006
We study the boundary regularity of weak solutions to nonlinear obstacle problem with C1,β-obstacle function, and obtain the Cloc1,α boundary regularity.

Asymptotic stationarity and regularity for nonsmooth optimization problems [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Nonsmooth Analysis and Optimization, 2020
Based on the tools of limiting variational analysis, we derive a sequential necessary optimality condition for nonsmooth mathematical programs which holds without any additional assumptions. In order to ensure that stationary points in this new sense are

p-Regular nonlinear dynamics [PDF]

open access: yesDoklady Mathematics, 2014
This article is devoted to the investigation of a periodic problem of the following form: \[ \dot{x}=f(\mu, x),\; x(0)=x(\tau),\eqno{(1)} \] where \(f\in C^{p+1} (\mathbb R\times\mathbb R^n)\to \mathbb R^n\) and \(f(\mu,x^\ast)=0\) for all \(\mu\in \mathbb R\).

Initial-boundary value problem of fifth-order Korteweg-de Vries equation posed on half line with nonlinear boundary values

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2022
In this paper, we study the initial boundary problem of fifth-order Korteweg-de Vries equation with nonlinear boundary values. First, we establish a so-called sharp boundary trace regularity associated with the linearized fifth-order Korteweg-de Vries ...

Regularity for a Nonlinear Discontinuous Subelliptic System with Drift on the Heisenberg Group

open access: yesAdvances in Mathematical Physics, 2022
In this paper, we prove the partial Hölder regularity of weak solutions and the partial Morrey regularity to horizontal gradients of weak solutions to a nonlinear discontinuous subelliptic system with drift on the Heisenberg group by the A-harmonic ...

Positive solutions for $(p,2)$-equations with superlinear reaction and a concave boundary term

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2020
We consider a nonlinear boundary value problem driven by the $(p,2)$-Laplacian, with a $(p-1)$-superlinear reaction and a parametric concave boundary term (a "concave-convex" problem).
