Nonlinear scatter from Sonazoid
1999 IEEE Ultrasonics Symposium. Proceedings. International Symposium (Cat. No.99CH37027), 2003Presents a nonlinear model for the response of shell-encapsulated gas bubbles to an ultrasound pulse. Values for the viscoelastic properties of the shell were estimated from ultrasound measurements at low amplitude. Results from simulations were compared with experiments.

Nonlinear-optical Rayleigh scattering
Nonlinear Optics: Materials, Fundamentals and Applications, 2000We present a general theory of second-harmonic generation from the surface of small spherical particles. Experimental data for dye-coated polystyrene spheres of 30 nm radius confirm predicted scattering patterns and selection rules.

Classical Theory of Nonlinear Compton Scattering
Physical Review Letters, 1996The covariant dynamics of a single classical electron subjected to the electromagnetic field of an intense, linearly polarized, ultrashort laser pulse in vacuum is studied in the context of the Dirac-Lorentz equation, which has long been suggested as a possible theory which includes radiative reaction.

Nonlinear Light Scattering Accompanying Multiphoton Ionization
Physical Review Letters, 1989We confirm in computer experiments the presence of unexpected plateau and cutoff features in high-order harmonic generation accompanying multiphoton ionization. We show the connection between these features and above-threshold ionization.

Nonlinear Stimulated Scattering
2016In this chapter, the first section reviews the various kinds of light scattering phenomena in the nature and points out the difference between stimulated scattering (nonlinear scattering) and spontaneous scattering (linear scattering).

Nonlinear scattering for a system of nonlinear Klein–Gordon equations
Journal of Mathematical Physics, 2008We consider the initial value problem for systems of nonlinear Klein–Gordon equations with quadratic nonlinearities. We prove the existence of scattering states, namely, the asymptotic stability of small solutions in the neighborhood of the free solutions for small initial data in the weighted Sobolev space H4,3(R3)×H3,3(R3).

Scattering theory compares the behavior in the distant future and past of a system evolving in time. It is called nonlinear if the system evolves in a nonlinear fashion. Consider a one-parameter group of operators on some linear space X: $$ U(t)U(s) = U(t + s);U(o) = I $$ -∞

Scattering from a nonlinear metasurface
2017 11th International Congress on Engineered Materials Platforms for Novel Wave Phenomena (Metamaterials), 2017We present a closed-form analysis of electromagnetic scattering from a nonlinear metasurface. For simplicity, we restrict our attention to the case of an isotropic second-order nonlinear metasurface. We derive the reflectionless conditions for such a nonlinear metasurface, and show that those conditions depend on the direction of wave propagation ...
