Controllability of nonlinear systems

open access: yesJournal of Differential Equations, 1972
Discussion of the controllability of nonlinear systems described by the equation dx/dt - F(x,u). Concepts formulated by Chow (1939) and Lobry (1970) are applied to establish criteria for F and its derivatives to obtain qualitative information on sets which can be obtained from x which denotes a variable of state in an arbitrary, real, analytical ...

Molecular imaging predicts trastuzumab‐deruxtecan (T‐DXd) response in head and neck cancer xenograft models

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Trastuzumab‐deruxtecan, a HER2‐targeting antibody‐drug conjugate, shows promising antitumor activity in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma with low HER2 expression. In vitro and in vivo studies demonstrated dose‐dependent cell death and tumor growth reduction in low HER2‐expressing cell lines, which correlated with drug accumulation measured using a

Relationships between the nonlinear output frequency response functions of multi- degree-of-freedom nonlinear systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Nonlinear Output Frequency Response Functions (NOFRFs) are a new concept proposed by the authors for the analysis of nonlinear systems in the frequency domain. The present study is concerned with investigating inherent relationships between the NOFRFs of

Singular nonlinear H∞ optimal control problem [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
The theory of nonlinear H∞ of optimal control for affine nonlinear systems is extended to the more general context of singular H∞ optimal control of nonlinear systems using ideas from the linear H∞ theory.

BMP antagonist CHRDL2 enhances the cancer stem‐cell phenotype and increases chemotherapy resistance in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Overexpression of CHRDL2 in colon cancer cells makes them more stem‐like and resistant to chemo‐ and radiotherapy. CHRDL2‐high cells have upregulation of the WNT pathway, genes involved in the DNA damage response (DDR) pathway and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT). This leads to quicker repair of damaged DNA and more cell migration.

Hamiltonian form of extended cubic-quintic nonlinear Schrödinger equation in a nonlinear Klein-Gordon model [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2022
We derive an extended cubic-quintic nonlinear Schr\"{o}dinger equation with Hamiltonian structure in a nonlinear Klein-Gordon model with cubic-quintic nonlinearity. We use the nonlinear dispersion relation to properly take into account the input of high-order nonlinear effects in the Hamiltonian perturbation approach to nonlinear modulation.

Robust Output Feedback Consensus for Networked Heterogeneous Nonlinear Negative-Imaginary Systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
This paper provides a control protocol for the robust output feedback consensus of networked heterogeneous nonlinear negative-imaginary (NI) systems. Heterogeneous nonlinear output strictly negative-imaginary (OSNI) controllers are applied in positive feedback according to the network topology to achieve output feedback consensus. The main contribution

Development of 4T1 breast cancer mouse model system for preclinical carbonic anhydrase IX studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Carbonic anhydrase IX (CAIX) is a well‐recognised therapeutic target and prognostic biomarker in cancer. We developed and characterised a robust murine breast cancer model system that is suitable for CAIX studies in vitro and in vivo—it comprises both CAIX‐positive and CAIX‐negative controls and provides a solid platform for the comprehensive ...

Some results on stability of difference systems

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 2002
This paper presents some new results on existence and stability of equilibrium or periodic points for difference systems. First sufficient conditions of existence of asymptotically stable equilibrium point as well as the asymptotic stability of given ...
