Haldane linearisation done right: Solving the nonlinear recombination equation the easy way
The nonlinear recombination equation from population genetics has a long history and is notoriously difficult to solve, both in continuous and in discrete time.

IMPAβ: Incremental Modal Pushover Analysis for Bridges
In the present study, the incremental modal pushover analysis (IMPA), a pushover-based approach already proposed and applied to buildings by the same authors, was revised and proposed for bridges (IMPAβ). Pushover analysis considers the effects of higher

Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

Cohesive zone models in history dependent materials [PDF]
Copyright @ 2013 ACMECohesive zone model is a well known concept in nonlinear fracture mechanics of elasto-plastic materials. In contrast to that, we discuss a development of the cohesive zone model to linear, but time and history dependent, materials ...

Ixazomib inhibits proteasome‐mediated degradation of topoisomerase I induced by irinotecan, thereby restoring drug sensitivity and promoting tumor cell death in colorectal cancer. Irinotecan, a topoisomerase I (topoI) inhibitor, is widely used for colorectal cancer, but resistance remains a major clinical challenge.

Nonlinear Static Procedure for Fragility Curve Development [PDF]
This study examines the fragility curves of a bridge by two different analytical approaches; one utilizes the time-history analysis and the other uses the capacity spectrum method.

The Effect of Spandrel Beam's Specification on Response Modification Factor of Concrete Coupled Shear Walls [PDF]
Response modification factor (R factor) is one of the seismic design parameters to be considered in evaluating the performance of buildings during strong motions. This paper has tried to evaluate the response modification factor of concrete coupled shear

Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...

Evaluating Seismic Isolation Design: Simplified Linear Methods vs. Nonlinear Time-History Analysis
Seismic isolation is a vital strategy for improving the earthquake resilience of structures, utilizing flexible components such as lead–rubber bearings (LRBs) and curved surface sliders (CSSs) to attenuate ground motion effects.
