Ground state solution of a nonlocal boundary-value problem
In this article, we apply the Nehari manifold method to study the Kirchhoff type equation $$ -\Big(a+b\int_\Omega|\nabla u|^2dx\Big)\Delta u=f(x,u) $$ subject to Dirichlet boundary conditions.

ABSTRACT We propose a measure of the valuation gap between debt and equity—debt‐equity spread (DES)—based on the difference between actual and equity‐implied credit spreads. DES predicts cross‐sectional stock and bond returns in opposite directions.

Numerical Investigation of a Diffusive SIR Model: Focus on Positivity Preservation
ABSTRACT In this paper, we consider a system of semilinear partial differential equations (PDEs) representing a spatially extended SIR epidemic model. A brief analytical investigation of the well‐posedness and positivity of the solutions is provided in the appendix, while the main focus is on the numerical treatment of the model.

Weak Solutions for a Class of Nonlocal Singular Problems Over the Nehari Manifold
ABSTRACT In this paper, we consider a nonlocal model of dilatant non‐Newtonian fluid with a Dirichlet boundary condition. By using the Nehari manifold and fibering map methods, we obtain the existence of at least two weak solutions, with sign information.

Surface and Boundary Corrections in Peridynamics Using Optimized Nodal Influence Weights
ABSTRACT Peridynamics (PD), similarly to some other nonlocal continuum theories, exhibits truncated interaction horizons near free surfaces, cracks, and voids in bounded domains. This loss of neighbors causes artificial surface effects and inconsistencies in the derivative and energy operators that persist under discretization refinement, limiting PD ...

On Existence of Solution of a Nonlocal Boundary Value Problem for Heat Transfer Equation [PDF]
In this work, it is considered non-homegenous heat equation with nonlocal boundary conditions. Non-local boundary conditions are reduced to pointwise non classical boundary value problem.

A high order of accuracy of difference schemes for the nonlocal boundary value schrödinger problem [PDF]
In this study, nonlocal boundary value Schrödinger type problem in a Hilbert space with the self-adjoint positive definite operator is investigated. Single step stable third and fourth order of accuracy difference schemes for the numerical solution of ...

Third Harmonic Generation in Transparent Longitudinal Epsilon‐Near‐Zero Multilayers
Transparent longitudinal epsilon‐near‐zero stacks enable field‐enhanced nonlinear light generation while preserving high near‐infrared pump transmission. Broadband third‐harmonic generation is experimentally observed demonstrating that TLENZ architectures can mitigate pump‐loss limitations and offer a promising platform for transparent nonlinear ...

Nonlocal boundary-value problem for parabolic equations with variable coefficients [PDF]
Досліджується задача з нелокальними умовами за часовою координатою для параболічних за Петровським рівнянь довільного порядку зі змінними коефіцієніами. Встановлюються умови існування та єдиності класичного розв’язку задачі.

Numerical modeling of mesoscopic material response models that capture the quantum dynamics of electrons does not have to come with discouraging computational bottlenecks. The main message is that through a shift in perspective in modeling toward integral equation methods and exploiting symmetry‐based arguments, it is possible to capture complicated ...
