Solvability of the -Laplacian with nonlocal boundary conditions
Sufficient conditions are obtained for the existence of at least one positive solution to a nonlinear boundary value problem with nonlocal linear boundary conditions \[ [\Phi(x'(t))]'+ c(t)(Fx)(t)= 0,\qquad t\in (0,1), \] \[ x(0)- L_0(x)= x(1)- L_1(x)= 0, \] where \(\Phi\) is an increasing homeomorphism of the real lline onto itself, \(F\) is a ...

Spin‐Split Edge States in Metal‐Supported Graphene Nanoislands Obtained by CVD
Combining STM measurements and ab‐initio calculations, we show that zig‐zag edges in graphene nanoislands grown on Ni(111) by CVD retrieve their spin‐polarized edge states after intercalation of a few monolayers of Au. ABSTRACT Spin‐split states localized on zigzag edges have been predicted for different free‐standing graphene nanostructures.

COFs on MOFs: Layer‐by‐Layer Synthesis of MOF@COF Nanoparticles with Synergistic Adsorption
A layer‐by‐layer strategy enables the growth of crystalline covalent organic framework (COF) shells on metal–organic framework nanoparticles, creating core–shell structures with tunable porosity. Ordered interstitial mesopores are formed during shell growth, which are connected with the COF's intrinsic micropores, thereby enhancing water sorption. This

Relation between nonlocal surface and bulk dark solitons
We investigate the existence and stability of nonlocal surface dark solitons at the interface formed by a nonlocal nonlinear self-defocusing medium and a linear medium.

Space‐Time Coding Conformal Metasurfaces for Multifrequency Beam Steering and Shaping
Space‐time coding conformal metasurfaces enable dynamic wave control on curved surfaces by combining programmable spatial patterns with temporal modulation. This study shows that a single conformal aperture can independently manipulate multiple frequency components, achieving multifunctional beam shaping and steering, with implications for ...

Photonic time crystals (PTCs) are systems in which electromagnetic parameters are modulated periodically in time, producing momentum bandgaps via temporal scattering rather than spatial Bragg processes. This review examines the theoretical frameworks, modeling, and computational tools for time‐varying media, and summarizes experimental demonstrations ...

A remark on nonlocal Neumann conditions for the fractional Laplacian [PDF]
We show how nonlocal boundary conditions of Robin type can be encoded in the pointwise expression of the fractional operator. Notably, the fractional Laplacian of functions satisfying homogeneous nonlocal Neumann conditions can be expressed as a regional
