Monotonic Positive Solutions of Nonlocal Boundary Value Problems for a Second-Order Functional Differential Equation

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2012
We study the existence of at least one monotonic positive solution for the nonlocal boundary value problem of the second-order functional differential equation x′′(t)=f(t,x(ϕ(t))), t∈(0,1), with the nonlocal condition ∑k=1makx(τk)=x0, x′(0)+∑j=1nbjx′(ηj)=

Relating Gribov-Zwanziger theory to effective Yang-Mills theory

open access: yes, 2011
We consider the Gribov-Zwanziger (GZ) theory with appropriate horizon term which exhibits the nilpotent BRST invariance. This infinitesimal BRST transformation has been generalized by allowing the parameter to be finite and field dependent (FFBRST).

New Existence Results for Fractional Integrodifferential Equations with Nonlocal Integral Boundary Conditions [PDF]

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2015
We consider a boundary value problem of fractional integrodifferential equations with new nonlocal integral boundary conditions of the form:x(0)=βx(θ), x(ξ)=α∫η1‍x(s)ds, and0<θ<ξ<η<1. According to these conditions, the value of the unknown function at the left end pointt=0is proportional to its value at a nonlocal pointθwhile the value at ...

Accelerating Luminescence in Nanostructures: Exploring the Physical Limits and Impact of Ultrafast Emission in Nanoscale Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, EarlyView.
This review highlights recent advances in accelerating luminescence in nanostructures through cooperative emission, resonator coupling, and nonlocal light–matter interactions. By unifying concepts such as excitonic superradiance, superfluorescence, and the plasmonic Purcell effect, it reveals physical limits of ultrafast emission and their potential ...

Cascade of minimizers for a nonlocal isoperimetric problem in thin domains

open access: yes, 2014
For $\Omega_\e=(0,\e)\times (0,1)$ a thin rectangle, we consider minimization of the two-dimensional nonlocal isoperimetric problem given by \[ \inf_u E^{\gamma}_{\Omega_\e}(u)\] where \[ E^{\gamma}_{\Omega_\e}(u):= P_{\Omega_\e}(\{u(x)=1\})+\gamma\int_{\

Enhanced Trapping with an Optimized Graphene‐Based Bowtie Plasmonic Nanotweezer: Design, Analysis, and Bioanalytical Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, EarlyView.
A graphene‐based bowtie plasmonic nanotweezer is designed and optimized using particle swarm optimization and transfer matrix analysis. The structure achieves strong field confinement, delivering trapping forces up to 6 nN W−1 for 10 nm bioparticles with sixfold lower power requirements than conventional designs.

PROBLEM WITH AN INTEGRAL CONDITION FOR FRACTIONAL DIFFUSION EQUATION WITH OPERATOR CAPUTO

open access: yesVestnik KRAUNC: Fiziko-Matematičeskie Nauki, 2016
In this paper we consider a nonlocal boundary value problem with integral condition for the fractional diffusion equation with Caputo operator. The theorem of existence of a solution of the problem.

Amplitude equations for systems with long-range interactions

open access: yes, 2002
We derive amplitude equations for interface dynamics in pattern forming systems with long-range interactions. The basic condition for the applicability of the method developed here is that the bulk equations are linear and solvable by integral transforms.

Peptide Sequence Programmed Piezoelectric Response by Supramolecular Self‐Assembly

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this study, hydrophobic tripeptides are explored as building blocks for stable piezoelectric crystals. Tripeptides with phenylalanine at the central position self‐assembled into uniform, thermally stable crystals. Piezoresponse force microscopy reveals a high effective piezoelectric coefficient of 24.0 pC N−1, attributed to asymmetric molecular ...
