The jumping problem for nonlocal singular problems
We consider a jumping problem for nonlocal singular problems. We apply a recent variational approach for nonlocal singular problem, together with a minimax method in the framework of nonsmooth critical point theory.

Numerical Investigation of a Diffusive SIR Model: Focus on Positivity Preservation
ABSTRACT In this paper, we consider a system of semilinear partial differential equations (PDEs) representing a spatially extended SIR epidemic model. A brief analytical investigation of the well‐posedness and positivity of the solutions is provided in the appendix, while the main focus is on the numerical treatment of the model.

Investigation of the spectrum of the Sturm–Liouville problem with a nonlocal integral condition
This paper presents some new results on the spectrum for the second order dif-ferential problem with one integral type nonlocal boundary condition (NBC).

Weak Solutions for a Class of Nonlocal Singular Problems Over the Nehari Manifold
ABSTRACT In this paper, we consider a nonlocal model of dilatant non‐Newtonian fluid with a Dirichlet boundary condition. By using the Nehari manifold and fibering map methods, we obtain the existence of at least two weak solutions, with sign information.

Study of Solutions to Some Functional Differential Equations with Piecewise Constant Arguments
We provide optimal conditions for the existence and uniqueness of solutions to a nonlocal boundary value problem for a class of linear homogeneous second-order functional differential equations with piecewise constant arguments.

T(w)o Patch or Not T(w)o Patch: A Novel Biocontrol Model
ABSTRACT A number of top‐down biocontrol models have been proposed where the introduced predators' efficacy is enhanced via the provision of additional food (AF). However, if the predator has a pest‐dependent monotone functional response, pest extinction is unattainable. In the current manuscript, we propose a model where a predator with pest‐dependent

Towards LHC physics with nonlocal Standard Model
We take a few steps towards constructing a string-inspired nonlocal extension of the Standard Model. We start by illustrating how quantum loop calculations can be performed in nonlocal scalar field theory.

A critical Kirchhoff type problem involving a nonlocal operator [PDF]
In this paper we show the existence of non-negative solutions for a Kirchhoff type problem driven by a nonlocal integrodifferential operator, that is -M(∥-u∥-Z2) LKu=λf(x,u)+| u|2*-2u in Ω,u=0in Rn\-Ω where L K is an integrodifferential operator with ...
