A nonlocal problem with integral conditions for a hyperbolic equation //
In this article, we consider two initial-boundary value problems with nonlocal conditions. The main goal is to show the method which allows to prove solvability of a nonlocal problem with integral conditions of the first kind.

Abstract While semi‐analytical boundary handling techniques have proven effective for modeling particle‐based fluid‐solid interactions, they can become unstable when applied to mesh boundaries undergoing dynamic motion or featuring complex, sharp geometries.

Unfixing Place: Time and Value in the Anthropology of Food
ABSTRACT Although many anthropologists have engaged with the political and economic work of “place” in qualifying and working with food, time has rarely featured substantively in the economic and political life of the comestible. Gathering themes from my ethnographic research in Northern Italy and excavation time in anthropological scholarship on food,

Structure and asymptotic expansion of eigenvalues of an integral-type nonlocal problem
We study the structure of eigenvalues of second-order differential equations with nonlocal integral boundary conditions. Moreover, we consider the asymptotic expansion of the eigenvalues and the corresponding eigenfunctions, which shows that the ...

ABSTRACT We propose a measure of the valuation gap between debt and equity—debt‐equity spread (DES)—based on the difference between actual and equity‐implied credit spreads. DES predicts cross‐sectional stock and bond returns in opposite directions.

On a nonlocal superconductivity problem
This paper investigates degenerate nonlocal free boundary problems arising in the context of superconductivity, extending the nonlocal counterpart to the work of Caffarelli, Salazar, and Shahgholian \cite{CS02, CSS04} in the local setting. In these models, no partial differential equation governs the moving sets where the gradient vanishes, meaning ...

Random Carbon Tax Policy and Investment Into Emission Abatement Technologies
ABSTRACT We analyze the problem of a profit‐maximizing electricity producer, subject to carbon taxes, who decides on investments into CO2$\rm CO_2$ abatement technologies. We assume that the carbon tax policy is random and that the investment in the abatement technology is divisible, irreversible, and subject to transaction costs.

It is known that V.A. Ilyin and E.I. Moiseev studied generalized nonlocal boundary value problems for the Sturm-Liouville equation, the nonlocal boundary conditions specified at the interior points of the interval under consideration. For such problems,

Contesting Nationalism: Global Citizenship and Chinese Identity in Hong Kong
ABSTRACT Global citizenship highlights that one's identity transcends national borders, whereas nationalism prioritises individuals' identification with a specific nation‐state. In the context of nation‐building, tension could arise between global citizenship and national identity.
