NONLOCAL ELLIPTIC PROBLEMS WITH A PARAMETER
Mathematics of the USSR-Sbornik, 1984The author studies nonlocal elliptic problems with a large parameter and proves existence theorems under certain abstract general conditions for elliptic operators of order 2m. The boundary conditions involve a relationship between the boundary values and the values of the solution on a compact subset of the domain.

Equilibrium conditions for nonlocal problems
Proceedings of the 39th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control (Cat. No.00CH37187), 2002The paper is concerned with obtaining generalized optimality conditions for a kind of nonlocal variational problems.

On the Solution of LCP in Nonlocal Problems
2002This paper deals with a certain class of nonlocal dissipative constitutive models, for which the canonical pointwise backward-Euler scheme cannot be employed for satisfying the loading-unloading conditions. It is shown that, in the presence of a nonlocal dissipation, the admissibility conditions in a point depend on the inelastic strain increment of ...

On Nonlocal Problems for Pseudoparabolic Equations
Zeitschrift für Analysis und ihre Anwendungen, 1988Three nonlocal problems for pseudoparabolic equations are considered. The method of solving of these problems is based on constructing the Riemann function for some differential operator of third order. The problems lead to respective integral equations. Sufficient conditions for existence of the solution of the nonlocal problems are given.

A Nonlocal Vector Calculus with Application to Nonlocal Boundary Value Problems
Multiscale Modeling & Simulation, 2010We develop a calculus for nonlocal operators that mimics Gauss's theorem and Green's identities of the classical vector calculus. The operators we define do not involve derivatives. We then apply the nonlocal calculus to define weak formulations of nonlocal “boundary-value” problems that mimic the Dirichlet and Neumann problems for second-order scalar ...
