ABSTRACT The emergence of (ultra)wide bandgap ((U)WBG)‐based devices has significantly enhanced performance in high‐frequency switching applications, enabling breakthroughs in electric transportation, aerospace, and renewable energy systems. However, it also presents considerable challenges to insulation systems, such as electric motor winding ...

Deterioration Law of Mechanical Properties of Insulation Pressboard Under Multifield Coupled Ageing
ABSTRACT Converter transformers can experience progressive deterioration of their oil–pressboard insulation under elevated temperature, combined AC–DC electrical stress and persistent mechanical vibration. This study investigates how mechanical vibration affects the mechanical properties of insulation pressboard and clarifies the associated microscopic

A hybrid Tiebout model with vintage housing
Abstract This article examines how spatial variation in housing ages affects income segregation in US cities. We develop a dynamic general equilibrium hybrid Tiebout model with durable housing that combines local public finance and urban land use theories.

Nonmonotonic Reasoning in Probabilistics. [PDF]
In probabilistics, reasoning at optimum entropy (ME-reasoning) has proved to be a most sound and consistent method for inference. This paper investigates its properties in the framework of nonmonotonic reasoning. In particular, we show that ME-reasoning satisfies cumulativity and loop, and we focus on its connection to conditionals.

The Political U: New Evidence on the Economic Costs of Hybrid Regimes
ABSTRACT Recent research establishes a positive causal effect from democracy to income, although this evidence relies mostly on binary regime classifications. We extend the identification framework of Acemoglu et al. (2019) to a classification that distinguishes democracies, autocracies, and hybrid regimes for about 170 countries over 1960–2024.

Signaling Vision: Knowing When to Quit
ABSTRACT We study a signaling game where agents signal their type by choosing when to quit pursuing an uncertain project. High types observe news about project quality and quit when bad news arrives. Low types who do not observe any news may mimic high types by quitting continuously over a phase of time.

Contractual Minimum Wages and Collective Bargaining. Italian Evidence From 40 Years of Data
ABSTRACT This study documents the evolution of minimum wages bargained in Italian collective contracts over a 40‐year period (1983–2023). Real minimum wages have grown over the last three decades, particularly among high‐skilled occupations, but the 2022–2023 inflation crisis eroded this growth.

CBDC as Imperfect Substitute to Bank Deposits: A Macroeconomic Perspective
Abstract The impact of Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) is analyzed in a closed‐economy model with monopolistic competition in banking and where CBDC is an imperfect substitute with bank deposits. The design of CBDC is characterized by its interest rate, its substitutability with bank deposits, and its relative liquidity.

Implementing Nonmonotonic Reasoning From Weakly Consistent Conditional Belief Bases
In this paper, we develop implementations of nonmonotonic reasoning from conditional belief bases that may contain both defeasible and undefeasible, strict beliefs.

Innovation and Structural Design in Regionalized Supply Networks
ABSTRACT Regionalization is reshaping global supply networks (SNs) as firms respond to geopolitical, economic, and institutional pressures. Yet extant research has not examined how patterns of structural adaptation associated with regionalization may influence innovation. In this paper, we develop a typology of three theoretically grounded archetypes: (
