Controlling 3D Contractility via Engineered Fibrous Hydrogel Composites
A tunable composite contractile assembly (CCA) is developed that can permit or resist contraction without changing cell‐adhesion and density, unlike collagen whose inherent coupling of these ECM cues limits its use as a platform in contractility studies.

Ordering Quantiles through Confidence Statements
Ranking variables according to their relevance to predict an outcome is an important task in biomedicine. For instance, such ranking can be used for selecting a smaller number of genes for then applying other sophisticated experiments only on genes ...

A Local Examination for Persistence in Exclusions-from-Core Measures of Inflation Using Real-Time Data [PDF]
Using parametric and nonparametric methods, inflation persistence is examined through the relationship between exclusions-from-core inflation and total inflation for two sample periods and in five in-sample forecast horizons ranging from one quarter to ...

This study evaluates 3D‐printed recombinant spider silk hydrogel eADF4(C16)‐RGD in a rat AV loop model for tissue engineering. Constructs with T17b endothelial progenitor cells showed enhanced vascularization and biodegradation. Results highlight the importance of scaffold design and cellular integration in improving vascular density and overall ...

Parametric and Nonparametric Frequentist Model Selection and Model Averaging
This paper presents recent developments in model selection and model averaging for parametric and nonparametric models. While there is extensive literature on model selection under parametric settings, we present recently developed results in the context

Mixture of Regression Models with Single-Index
In this article, we propose a class of semiparametric mixture regression models with single-index. We argue that many recently proposed semiparametric/nonparametric mixture regression models can be considered special cases of the proposed model. However,

THE DESIGN OF STANDARD GRAPH FOR TODDLER GROWTH USES NONPARAMETRIC PENALIZED SPLINE REGRESSION
One way to carry out early detection of toddler growth is through the Healthy Way Card (KMS). The KMS used in Indonesia does not describe the growth behavior of toddlers. The KMS used is the standard from the World Health Organization (WHO).
