Temporal and Cell‐Specific Regulation of Synaptic Homeostasis by the Chromatin Remodeler Chd1

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Chd1, the Drosophila homologue of mammalian CHD2 ‐ a gene linked to autism, epilepsy, and intellectual disability, is required for synaptic homeostatic plasticity. Chd1 in glia is necessary for the rapid induction of synaptic homeostasis, whereas Chd1 in motoneurons, muscle, and glia is critical for long‐term maintenance.

Local Polynomial Fitting and Spatial Price Relationships: Price Transmission in the EU Markets for Pigmeat [PDF]

open access: yes
We apply nonparametric methods to assess price transmission processes within the EU pig markets. We compare results derived from nonparametric regressions with those obtained using alternative nonlinear threshold models.

Gαi1/3 Is a Novel Regulatory Target for RANKL Signal Transduction and Osteoporosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Osteoporosis, characterized by progressive bone loss and increased fracture risk, is a growing concern as the population ages. Current treatments, though advanced, remain limited, underscoring the necessity for novel therapeutic targets. Recent studies have shown that the immune system plays a key role in osteoporosis, with osteoclasts driving

Pathogenic Role of FGFR3 Autoantibodies in Small Fiber Neuropathy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Autoantibodies against fibroblast growth factor receptor 3 (FGFR3) are identified as pathogenic drivers of pain in small fiber neuropathy. By binding to sensory neurons in dorsal root ganglia, FGFR3 autoantibodies activate MAPK signaling and induce hyperexcitability and mechanical hypersensitivity, establishing FGFR3 autoantibodies as a therapeutic ...

Nonparametric Bayesian Regression

open access: yesThe Annals of Statistics, 1986
The paper addresses itself to Bayesian estimation of the function \[ F(x_ 1,x_ 2)=m+a(x_ 1)+b(x_ 2)+c(x_ 1,x_ 2) \] in the model \(y_ i=F(x_{1i},x_{2i})+e_ i\). A prior for F is constructed by putting independent priors on m,a,b, and c. They are normal distribution and Brownian motion.

UBE2T‐Driven p53 Degradation Rewires Glycolysis to Orchestrate Lactylation‐Mediated CAFs Activation and ECM Deposition in Pancreatic Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study integrates multi‐omics to reveal the critical role of UBE2T in driving malignancy and stromal co‐evolution in PDAC. UBE2T potentiates glycolysis by regulating p53 degradation via a positive feedback loop, thereby promoting histone H3 lysine 18 lactylation in CAFs and stromal deposition. The UBE2T inhibitor PGG represents a potential strategy

Adaptive Nonparametric Clustering

open access: yes, 2017
This paper presents a new approach to non-parametric cluster analysis called Adaptive Weights Clustering (AWC). The idea is to identify the clustering structure by checking at different points and for different scales on departure from local homogeneity.
