The nonsubsampled contourlet transform for image fusion

2007 International Conference on Wavelet Analysis and Pattern Recognition, 2007
The nonsubsampled contourlet transform (NSCT) is one of the new geometrical image transform. This transform uses the nonsubsampled pyramids (NSP) and the nonsubsampled directional filter banks (NSDFB) to obtain a multiscale and multidirection decomposition of image. The NSCT is a shift-invariant transform contrast to the contourlet transform.

Image Adaptive Denoising Based on Nonsubsampled Contourlet Transform

Wireless Personal Communications, 2018
In this paper, researching the correlation property of congenetic subband coefficients of Nonsubsampled Contourlet Transform (NSCT), and proposing a new adaptive denoising theory. This theory combines the excellent shift-invariant of NSCT with the correlation property of congenetic subband coefficients in image denoising.

Pavement Distress Detection Based on Nonsubsampled Contourlet Transform

2008 International Conference on Computer Science and Software Engineering, 2008
Automatic recognition of road distresses has been a hot topic since it reduces economic loses before cracks and potholes become too severe. However, weak information of road distress and computing complexity make it difficult to detect road distress effectively.

Optimization for the directional filter bank of the nonsubsampled contourlet transform

2010 Sixth International Conference on Natural Computation, 2010
The contourlet Transform is an efficient directional multiresolution image representation, but it is not shift-invariant. The nonsubsampled contourlet transform (NSCT), is a fully shift-invariant, multiscale, and multidirection expansion that has a fast implementation, but the computational efficiency is lower than the contourlet transform, such an ...

Image Denoising with Nonsubsampled Wavelet-Based Contourlet Transform

2008 Fifth International Conference on Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery, 2008
Contourlet has shown its charming performance in image processing. The multi-resolution and multi-direction characteristics ensure the transform a good ability in handling the abundant texture information in natural images. However, the contourlet is not shift-invariant because of the subsampled filter structure.

The nonsubsampled complex contourlet transform for image denoising

2010 2nd International Conference on Computer Engineering and Technology, 2010
As a remedy for pseudo-Gibbs phenomenon commonly existing in contourlet transform image denoising, a perfectly translation-invariant image denoising technique based on nonsubsampled complex contourlet transform (NCCT) is put forward in this paper. First, it use the dual-tree complex wavelet transform (DT-CWT) for multi-scale decomposition.

Nonsubsampled Pyramid Contourlet Transform and Its Application

2008 International Symposium on Information Science and Engineering, 2008
The contourlet transform [CT] is a new two-dimensional representation for images that can capture the intrinsic geometrical structure of pictorial information. The construction proposed in this paper is based on a nonsubsampled pyramid structure and critically sampled directional filter banks.

Image fusion based on nonsubsampled contourlet transform

2012 International Conference on Informatics, Electronics & Vision (ICIEV), 2012
In this work we have presented an image fusion method based on nonsubsampled contourlet transform (NSCT). Nonsubsampled contourlet transform is a multiscale, multidirectional transform with shift-invariance feature. Shift-invariance is a desirable property for image fusion and many other applications of image processing because it leads to several ...

The Nonsubsampled Contourlet Transform for Enhancement of Microcalcifications in Digital Mammograms

2009
Microcalcifications detection plays a crucial role in the early detection of breast cancer. The enhancement of the mammographic images is one of the most important tasks during the detection process. This paper presents an algorithm for the enhancement of microcalcifications in digital mammograms.

Image enhancement scheme based on nonsubsampled contourlet transform

SPIE Proceedings, 2013
Recent studies show that wavelet-based image enhancement methods provide a high quality in enhanced images. However, images enhanced by most wavelet-based methods have less spatial resolution because the critical down- sampling is included in wavelet transform.
