Plasma levels of norethindrone after I.M. injection of 200 mg norethindrone enanthate
Contraception, 1975Abstract The plasma levels of norethindrone were measured with a radioimmunoassay after an intramuscular injection of 200 mg of norethindrone enanthate in five healthy women. After an initial peak of norethindrone between 8–14.5 ng/ml, a gradual decline followed. The concentration of 1 ng/ml was reached after approximately 45 days. The plasma pattern

SUMMARYSingle oral doses of 0.3 mg, 0.5 mg and 5 mg Norethindrone (NET) and 0.5 mg and 5 mg Lynestrenol (lyn) were given to five women. Lynestrenol is probably metabolized through NET and exerts its main biological activity as NET. Plasma concentrations of NET were determined by a radioimmunoassay at different intervals after administration of the ...

Norethindrone in Serum After use of an oral Contraceptive Containing Norethindrone Acetate
Acta Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica, 1983Abstract. The availability of norethindrone (NET) in serum was studied in 8 women after daily administration of a combination oral contraceptive pill (MinovlarR) containing 1 mg norethindrone acetate (NETA) and 50 μg ethinyl estradiol (EE2) from day 5 to day 25 of the menstrual cycle. The pill was taken daily at 9.30 a.m.

Pharmacokinetics of norethindrone acetate in women
American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, 1979The plasma half-life, MCR and plasma metabolite levels at various time intervals have been studied in six women after an intravenous injection of 3H-norethindrone acetate. The disappearance curve due to norethindrone acetate showed an initial rapid disappearance of 3H with an average half-life of 7.5 minutes and a subsequent slow disapperance with a ...

A specific radioimmunoassay was developed for the estimation of norethindrone levels in the serum of lactating women. A conjugate of norethindrone-3-BSA was synthesized and antiserum raised against it in rabbits. The antiserum showed high affinity (1.5 x 10(9)M/L) and titer and was specific. The sensitivity of the assay was 125 pg/ml serum.

Pharmacokinetics of norethindrone in Indian women
Contraception, 1979Pharmacokinetics of norethindrone (NET) was evaluated in eleven women belonging to a low socio-economic group and in five womem belonging to the high socio-economic group after the administration of an oral dose of 0.35 mg NET minipill on an empty stomach. Blood samples were collected at different intervals of time over a period of 24 hours. Plasma NET
