[Pharmacokinetics of norethindrone-oxime and norethindrone in rabbits after oral administration].

Yao xue xue bao = Acta pharmaceutica Sinica, 1989
After oral administration of [3H]-labelled norethindrone-oxime (NETO) or norethindrone (NET) to rabbits, the blood concentrations of NETO and NET were determined by measuring the radioactivity after separation with HPLC. The pharmacokinetic parameters of the compounds were also compared. Experimental results indicate that both NETO and NET were quickly

THE EFFECT OF NORETHINDRONE-MESTRANOL ON CERVICAL MUCUS

Obstetrical & Gynecological Survey, 1968
Abstract Measurements of spinnbarkheit and amount and viscosity of cervical mucus were made on 15 healthy parous women at midcycle and following the administration of 1 mg. norethindrone and 0.05 mg. mestranol. It was demonstrated that spinnbarkheit was greatly reduced and that the cervical mucus was decreased in amount and viscosity.

Identification of hydrazone of norethindrone, a metabolic product resulting from the interaction between isoniazid and norethindrone.

Research communications in chemical pathology and pharmacology, 1981
Co-administration of isonicotinic acid hydrazide (isoniazid, INH) and 17 alpha-ethinyl-17 beta-hydroxyestr-4-en-3-one (norethindrone, NE) resulted in the formation of the isonicotinyl hydrazone of norethindrone (INH-NE) in rat stomach. Rat liver metabolized the latter compound in vitro.
