Norm Adjusted Proximity Graph for Fast Inner Product Retrieval
Proceedings of the 27th ACM SIGKDD Conference on Knowledge Discovery & Data Mining, 2021Efficient inner product search on embedding vectors is often the vital stage for online ranking services, such as recommendation and information retrieval. Recommendation algorithms, e.g., matrix factorization, typically produce latent vectors to represent users or items.

A note on phase (norm) retrievable real Hilbert space fusion frames
International Journal of Wavelets, Multiresolution and Information Processing, 2022In this paper, we will present several new results in finite and countable dimensional separable real Hilbert space phase retrieval and norm retrieval by fusion frames. We will characterize of norm retrieval for fusion frames similar norm retrieval for vectors and we will show that only one direction holds for fusion frames. In similar vector case, we

Feature Norm-Based Deep Network for Multi-Domain Fashion Image Retrieval
AATCC Journal of Research, 2021Current fashion image searching technology based on fine-grained fashion recognition on fashion images has recently achieved great success in online shopping. However, this technique is limited to a single domain—real product images—and thus is inflexible.

Reweighted L1-norm regularized phase retrieval for x-ray differential phase contrast radiograph
Review of Scientific Instruments, 2022Talbot–Lau x-ray grating interferometry greatly decreases the requirements on x-ray sources to realize differential phase contrast imaging and has found many applications in industrial and medical imaging. Phase retrieval from the noisy differential signal is crucial for quantitative analysis, comparison, and fusion with other imaging modalities.

The Normativity of Work: Retrieving a Critical Craft Norm
Critical Horizons, 2017ABSTRACTRecent social theory has begun to reconsider how the activity of work can contribute to well-being or autonomy under the right conditions. However, there is no consensus on what this contribution consists in, and so on precisely which normative principles should be marshalled to critique harmful or repressive forms of workplace organisation ...

Ln norm optimal histogram matching and application to similarity retrieval
Computer Graphics and Image Processing, 1980The problem of optimal histogram matching is investigated using a monotone gray level transformation, which always assigns all picture points of a given gray level i to another gray level T(i) such that if i ≥j, then T(i)≥T(j). The objective is to find a transformed version of a given picture such that an error measure between the gray level histogram ...

L1-norm global geometric consistency for partial-duplicate image retrieval
2014 IEEE International Conference on Image Processing (ICIP), 2014In all feature point based partial-duplicate image retrieval systems, false matching is a common issue. To tackle the problem, geometric contexts are widely applied to filter the inconsistent matches. This paper presents a novel method called l 1 -norm global geometric consistency.

Phase retrieval by optimal weighted norm extrapolation
2006Introduction. The problem of recovery of a finite support signal from a given set of smnples and the Fourier transform (F. T.) magnitude is considered. The problem is dealt with from an extrapolation point of view. That is, in a manner similar to the bandlirnited extrapolation problem and its extensions using a weighted frequency domain norm.
