Norm Retrievable Frames and Their Perturbation in Finite Dimensional Complex Hilbert Spaces

Numerical Functional Analysis and Optimization, 2016
ABSTRACTIn this article, we study the property of norm retrievability of spanning vectors in a finite dimensional complex Hilbert space ℋ. Using the set of zero trace operators on ℋ and two sets of self-adjoint operators on ℋ denoted by 𝒮1,0 and 𝒮1,1, we present some equivalent conditions to the norm retrievable frames in ℋ.

A SURVEY ON PHASE RETRIEVAL AND NORM RETRIEVAL IN HILBERT SPACES

One of the crucial and major issues in engineering, particularly in signal processing, is signal reconstruction. Frames are flexible tools that helps to reconstruct signals/vectors in a stable way. Frame theory was introduced for Hilbert spaces by Duffin et al. in 1952.

L(p) -norm IDF for scalable image retrieval.

IEEE transactions on image processing : a publication of the IEEE Signal Processing Society, 2015
The inverse document frequency (IDF) is prevalently utilized in the bag-of-words-based image retrieval application. The basic idea is to assign less weight to terms with high frequency, and vice versa. However, in the conventional IDF routine, the estimation of visual word frequency is coarse and heuristic.

Optimizing and Evaluating a Retrieval-Augmented Generation System for Normative Document Retrieval in Hospital Settings

Proceedings of the 31st Brazilian Symposium on Multimedia and the Web (WebMedia 2025)
This paper presents the development and evaluation of a chatbot designed to consult documents written in Portuguese on regulatory procedures in a hospital environment, which uses a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipeline to increase the factual accuracy and relevance of its underlying Large Language Model (LLM). Using the RAG technique will allow

Normative multitrial recall performance, metacognitive judgments, and retrieval latencies for Lithuanian—English paired associates

Behavior Research Methods, 2010
Memory researchers using paired associates have benefited greatly from the Swahili-English norms reported by Nelson and Dunlosky (1994). Given recent increases in the amount and kinds of research using paired associates, however, researchers would now benefit from an expanded set of normative measures for foreign language vocabulary words.

Phase Retrieval and Norm Retrieval in Unitary Systems

In a separable Hilbert space , we introduce phase and norm retrievable frame generators for a unitary system  and show that phase retrievable and norm retrievable  vectors and subspaces can be obtained  with a unitary system structure. We give the conditions under which a complete wandering subspace  for a unitary system  can generate vectors and ...

Enhanced access to eGovernment services: temporal and semantics-aware retrieval of norms

2005
In this paper, we summarize the results of an ongoing research involving the design and implementation of a multi-version repository of norm texts supporting efficient and personalized access in an eGovernment scenario. The research activity is entitled "Semantic web techniques for the management of digital identity and the access to norms".
