SN1987A and neutrino non-radiative decay
We investigate neutrino non-radiative two-body decay in vacuum, in relation to SN1987A. In a full 3ν decay framework, we perform a detailed likelihood analysis of the 24 neutrino events from SN1987A observed by Kamiokande-II, IMB, and Baksan. We consider

A note on normal ordering of degenerate integral powers of number operator [PDF]
This study derives the normal ordering expansion of degenerate integral powers of the number operator, (a†a)_{n,λ}, using recurrence relations for the coefficients and an operator action on number states. Here a† and a are respectively the boson creation

An ordering of normal ultrafiltres [PDF]
Summary: Suppose \(\kappa\) is supercompact, and \(\lambda\geq \kappa\). Let \(Nuf_{\kappa}(\lambda)\) be the collection of all normal ultrafilters on \(P_{\kappa}(\lambda)\). For any \(U\in Nuf_{\kappa}(\lambda)\), let \(i_ u\) be the elementary embedding associated with U. Def.

The 10−3 eV frontier in neutrinoless double beta decay
The observation of neutrinoless double beta decay would allow to establish lepton number violation and the Majorana nature of neutrinos. The rate of this process in the case of 3-neutrino mixing is controlled by the neutrinoless double beta decay ...

Whether the neutrino mass ordering is normal or inverted remains an experimentally open issue in neutrino physics. The knowledge of neutrino mass ordering has great importance for neutrinoless double-beta ( $$ 0\nu \beta \beta $$ 0 ν β β ) decay ...

Normal modes are intimately related to the quadratic approximation of a potential at its hyperbolic equilibria. Here we extend the notion to the case where the Taylor expansion for the potential at a critical point starts with higher order terms, and show that such an extension shares some of the properties of standard normal modes.

Deformed Bosons: Combinatorics of Normal Ordering [PDF]
We solve the normal ordering problem for (A* A)^n where A* (resp. A) are one mode deformed bosonic creation (resp. annihilation) operators satisfying [A,A*]=[N+1]-[N]. The solution generalizes results known for canonical and q-bosons. It involves combinatorial polynomials in the number operator N for which the generating functions and explicit ...

Normal ordering and non(anti)commutativity in open super strings [PDF]
Nonanticommutativity in an open super string moving in the presence of a background antisymmetric tensor field $\mathcal{B}_{\mu \nu}$ is investigated in a conformal field theoretic approach, leading to nonanticommutative structures.

Normal tree orders for infinite graphs [PDF]
The authors call an order-theoretic tree \(T\) on a set \(V\) normal for the graph \(G\) if \(V= V(G)\) and adjacent vertices of \(G\) are comparable in \(T\). They investigate the existence of so-called linked and well-linked normal trees for \(G\); for well-linked \(T\) the maximal chains of \(T\) are well ordered and induce connected subgraphs ...
