Combinatorial approach to generalized Bell and Stirling numbers and boson normal ordering problem

open access: yes, 2005
We consider the numbers arising in the problem of normal ordering of expressions in canonical boson creation and annihilation operators. We treat a general form of a boson string which is shown to be associated with generalizations of Stirling and Bell ...

Phase space path integral in curved space [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
Phase space path integral is worked out in a riemannian geometry, by employing a prescription for the infinitesimal propagator that takes riemannian normal coordinates and momenta on an equal footing.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

A note on λ-analogue of Lah numbers and λ-analogue of r-Lah numbers

open access: yesDemonstratio Mathematica
In this study, we introduce the λ\lambda -analogue of Lah numbers and λ\lambda -analogue of rr-Lah numbers in the view of degenerate version, respectively.

Realmente: advérbio modal e implicatura generalizada

open access: yesPrincipia: An International Journal of Epistemology, 2016
The paper compares necessariamente p, p, and realmente p in Brazilian Portuguese. It argues that realmente is an epistemic modal. The main difference with respect to necessariamente is the ordering source: the former takes the real world, the latter, the

Renormalization of the Regularized Relativistic Electron-Positron Field

open access: yes, 2000
We consider the relativistic electron-positron field interacting with itself via the Coulomb potential defined with the physically motivated, positive, density-density quartic interaction.

Normal-order reduction grammars [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Functional Programming, 2017
AbstractWe present an algorithm which, for given n, generates an unambiguous regular tree grammar defining the set of combinatory logic terms, over the set {S, K} of primitive combinators, requiring exactly n normal-order reduction steps to normalize. As a consequence of Curry and Feys's standardization theorem, our reduction grammars form a complete ...

Multiple ETS family transcription factors bind mutant p53 via distinct interaction regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mutant p53 gain‐of‐function is thought to be mediated by interaction with other transcription factors. We identify multiple ETS transcription factors that can bind mutant p53 and found that this interaction can be promoted by a PXXPP motif. ETS proteins that strongly bound mutant p53 were upregulated in ovarian cancer compared to ETS proteins that ...

Fermion masses and mixings and g − 2 muon anomaly in a Q6 flavored 2HDM

open access: yesNuclear Physics B
We propose an extended 2HDM with Q6×Z4×Z2 symmetry that can successfully accommodate the SM fermion mass and mixing hierarchy. The tiny masses of the active neutrinos are generated from a type-I seesaw mechanism mediated by very heavy right-handed ...

Non-monotonic pseudo-gap in high-Tc cuprates

open access: yes, 2008
The mechanism of high temperature superconductivity is not resolved for so long because the normal state of cuprates is not yet understood. Here we show that the normal state pseudo-gap exhibits an unexpected non-monotonic temperature dependence, which ...
