Integration, disintegration and trade in Europe: Evolution of trade relations during the 1990s [PDF]

open access: yes
The gravity model of trade is used to assess the economic consequences of new borders, which arose in the wake of break-ups of multinational federations in Eastern Europe.

Schooling Trajectories and the Development of Brain Dynamics: A Comparative Study of Montessori and Traditional Education

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We investigate whether Montessori and traditional schooling systems shape the developmental trajectory of large‐scale brain dynamics in different ways. We quantify the arrow of time (“non‐reversibility”) in neural activity during resting state and movie‐watching, revealing distinct maturational patterns.

THE CHALLENGES OF NORMALIZING RELATIONS BETWEEN BELGRADE AND PRISTINA: IMPLICATIONS OF THE "AGREEMENT ON THE PATH TO NORMALIZATION"

open access: yesJournal of Liberty and International Affairs
The article analyzes the process of normalizing relations between Belgrade and Pristina after adopting the Agreement on the Path to Normalization. The analytical framework of neorealism was used to explain that the normalization process was accelerated ...

High‐Throughput Screening and Interpretable Machine Learning for Rational Design of Bimetallic Catalysts for Methane Activation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Methane's efficient catalytic removal is vital for sustainable development. Bimetallic catalysts, though promising for methane activation, pose a design challenge due to their complex compositional space. This work introduces an integrated framework that combines high‐throughput density functional theory (DFT) and interpretable machine ...

Normalization anomalies in level truncation calculations

open access: yes, 2005
We test oscillator level truncation regularization in string field theory by calculating descent relations among vertices, or equivalently, the overlap of wedge states.

Superatom Distortion Induces Triferroicity and Spin Splitting in Two‐Dimensional Antiferromagnets

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The incorporation of superatoms into a 2D square lattice induces symmetry breaking, thereby enabling concurrent coupling among magnetism, ferroelectricity, and ferroelasticity. This strategy achieves triferroic behavior—characterized by spin‐split antiferromagnetic ground states—and offers a viable pathway toward energy‐efficient spintronic devices ...

Arbitrary Orthogonal Polarization Decomposition and Routing With Complex Amplitude Modulation via Wheel‐of‐Fortune‐Inspired Metasurfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates a receiver‐transmitter‐integrated metasurface that decomposes an incident wave into orthogonal components and routes them into separate channels. Inspired by a “Wheel‐of‐Fortune” mechanism, it enables independent control over the amplitude, phase, and polarization of the transmitted wave.

OWA-based fuzzy m-ary adjacency relations in Social Network Analysis. [PDF]

open access: yes
In this paper we propose an approach to Social Network Analysis (SNA) based on fuzzy m-ary adjacency relations. In particular, we show that the dimension of the analysis can naturally be increased and interesting results can be derived.

Boosting Sensory Nerve‐to‐Bone Interactions Enhances Hedgehog Mediated Calvarial Bone Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Boosting sensory nerve activity via TrkA agonism strongly accelerates calvarial bone repair in adult mice. Furthermore, single‐cell RNA sequencing and neuron–bone interactome analyses identify these sensory neurons as a direct neural source of Hedgehog pathway ligands. Consequently, these ligands drive osteoblast differentiation of skeletal progenitors,
