SAR Image Generation of Ocean Surface Using Time-Divided Velocity Bunching Model [PDF]
An efficient synthetic aperture radar (SAR) image formulation based on the velocity-bunching model is proposed for a large SAR image integration time. A time-varying ocean surface is generated based on the semi-empirical spectrum proposed by Fung and Lee.

Forward scatter radar for air surveillance: Characterizing the target-receiver transition from far-field to near-field regions [PDF]
A generalized electromagnetic model is presented in order to predict the response of forward scatter radar (FSR) systems for air-target surveillance applications in both far-field and near-field conditions.

Sea Wind Measurement by Doppler Navigation System with X-Configured Beams in Rectilinear Flight
We suggest a conceptual approach to the measurement of the near-surface wind vector over water using a Doppler navigation system, in addition to its standard navigation capabilities. We consider a Doppler navigation system with a track-stabilized antenna

ANALYTICAL FORMULAE FOR RADAR CROSS SECTION OF FLAT PLATES IN NEAR FIELD AND NORMAL INCIDENCE [PDF]
Radar Cross Section is most of the time defined in far field. In that case, RCS is totally independent of the range between the radar and the target. However, in several kinds of military scenario, it can be more realistic to deal with the target nearfield scattering characteristics.

Normalized Radar Scattering Section Simulation and Numerical Calculation of Freak Wave
The improved phase modulation method is used to numerically simulate a two-dimensional freak wave. While generating freak waves at specific positions, the spectral structure of the target spectrum can also be maintained, and the statistical ...

Machine Learning‐Assisted Inverse Design of Soft and Multifunctional Hybrid Liquid Metal Composites
A machine learning framework is presented for inverse design of synthesizable multifunctional composites containing both liquid metal and solid inclusions. By integrating physics‐based modeling, data‐driven prediction, and Bayesian optimization, the approach enables intelligent design of experiments to identify optimal compositions and realize these ...

Metamaterial Antennas Enhance MRI of the Eye and Occipital Brain
A radiofrequency antenna platform comprising planar and bend configurations is developed, incorporating structurally integrated epsilon‐negative metamaterial unit cells to enhance MRI. These antennas enable high‐resolution in vivo human MRI of the eye, orbit, and occipital brain. Comprehensive validation, including simulations, phantom experiments, SAR,

Sea Ice Detection Method Using the Dependence of the Radar Cross-Section on the Incidence Angle
The method for sea ice detection using the data from the Dual-frequency Precipitation Radar (DPR) onboard the Global Precipitation Measurement (GPM) satellite data is suggested. The approach is based on the analysis of the shape of normalized radar cross-
