Decrypting cancer's spatial code: from single cells to tissue niches

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Spatial transcriptomics maps gene activity across tissues, offering powerful insights into how cancer cells are organised, switch states and interact with their surroundings. This review outlines emerging computational, artificial intelligence (AI) and geospatial approaches to define cell states, uncover tumour niches and integrate spatial data with ...

Solutions with prescribed mass for the Sobolev critical Schrödinger–Poisson system with p-Laplacian

open access: yesBulletin of Mathematical Sciences
In this paper, we are concerned with the existence and properties of ground states for the quasilinear Schrödinger–Poisson system with combined critical nonlinearities −Δpu+γϕ|u|p−2u=λ|u|p−2u+μ|u|q−2u+|u|p∗−2uin ℝ3,−Δϕ=|u|pin ℝ3, having prescribed mass ...

Characterizing the salivary RNA landscape to identify potential diagnostic, prognostic, and follow‐up biomarkers for breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.

Multiplicity of normalized solutions for nonlinear Choquard equations

open access: yesAdvanced Nonlinear Studies
In this paper, we consider the following nonlinear Choquard equation with prescribed L 2-norm: −Δu+λu=Iα∗F(u)f(u) in RN,∫RN|u|2dx=a>0,u∈H1(RN), $\begin{cases}-{\Delta}u+\lambda u=\left({I}_{\alpha }\ast F\left(u\right)\right)f\left(u\right) \,\text{in}\,

Adenosine‐to‐inosine editing of miR‐200b‐3p is associated with the progression of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A‐to‐I editing of miRNAs, particularly miR‐200b‐3p, contributes to HGSOC progression by enhancing cancer cell proliferation, migration and 3D growth. The edited form is linked to poorer patient survival and the identification of novel molecular targets.

Note on normalized solutions to a kind of fractional Schrödinger equation with a critical nonlinearity

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics
In this paper, we study normalized solutions of the fractional Schrödinger equation with a critical nonlinearity$ \begin{eqnarray*} \left\{ \begin{array}{lll} (-\Delta)^su = \lambda u+|u|^{p-2}u+|u|^{2^\ast_s-2}u, & x\in \mathbb{R}^N, \\ \int_ ...

Regularity of solutions of the parabolic normalized p-Laplace equation

open access: yesAdvances in Nonlinear Analysis, 2018
The parabolic normalized p-Laplace equation is studied. We prove that a viscosity solution has a time derivative in the sense of Sobolev belonging locally to L2{L^{2}}.

Investigating the cell of origin and novel molecular targets in Merkel cell carcinoma: a historic misnomer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study indicates that Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) does not originate from Merkel cells, and identifies gene, protein & cellular expression of immune‐linked and neuroendocrine markers in primary and metastatic Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) tumor samples, linked to Merkel cell polyomavirus (MCPyV) status, with enrichment of B‐cell and other immune cell
