The Galois extensions induced by idempotents in a Galois algebra
Let B be a Galois algebra with Galois group G, Jg={b∈B|bx=g(x)b for all x∈B} for each g∈G, eg the central idempotent such that BJg=Beg, and eK=∑g∈K,eg≠1eg for a subgroup K of G.

In the present work, we have identified a transcriptional signature based on the differential expression of six genes (BCL2&MAST4, HSH2D&LAT2, METRN&PITPNM2) that would facilitate the early detection of T‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T‐ALL) patients prone to a poor treatment response and could be implemented at diagnosis, along with other risk ...

Affine algebraic groups with periodic components
A connected component of an affine algebraic group is called periodic if all its elements have finite order. We give a characterization of periodic components in terms of automorphisms with finite number of fixed points.

NKCC1: A key regulator of glioblastoma progression
Glioblastoma (GBM) progression is driven by disrupted chloride cotransporter homeostasis. NKCC1 is highly expressed in stem‐like, astrocytic, and progenitor cells, correlating with earlier recurrence, while overall survival remains unaffected. NKCC1 serves as a prognostic marker and potential therapeutic target, linking chloride transporter imbalance ...

Both cg12821679MAPRE3 methylation and MAPRE3 expression are significantly associated with overall survival (OS) of non‐small cell lung cancer. Meanwhile, MAPRE3 expression significantly modified the effect of smoking cessation on OS. Smoking cessation benefits OS merely for patients with high MAPRE3 expression.

Some New Applications of Weakly ℋ-Embedded Subgroups of Finite Groups
A subgroup H of a finite group G is said to be weakly H -embedded in G if there exists a normal subgroup T of G such that H G = H T and H ∩ T ∈ H ( G ) , where H G is the normal closure of H in G, and H ( G )

Normalizers and self-normalizing subgroups
Let $\mathbb K$ be a field of characteristic $\neq 2$. Suppose $G=\boldsymbol{; ; G}; ; (\mathbb K)$ is the group of $\mathbb K$-points of a reductive algebraic $\mathbb K$-group $\boldsymbol{; ; G}; ; $. Let $G_1\leq G$ be the group of $\mathbb K$-points of a reductive subgroup $\boldsymbol{; ; G}; ; _1\leq \boldsymbol{; ; G}; ; $.

A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

Sandwich classification theorem [PDF]
The present note arises from the author's talk at the conference ``Ischia Group Theory 2014''. For subgroups FleN of a group G denote by Lat(F,N) the set of all subgroups of N , containing F . Let D be a subgroup of G .

dUTPases are involved in balancing the appropriate nucleotide pools. We showed that dUTPase is essential for normal development in zebrafish. The different zebrafish genomes contain several single‐nucleotide variations (SNPs) of the dut gene. One of the dUTPase variants displayed drastically lower protein stability and catalytic efficiency as compared ...
