Distorsions et dilemmes du système performatif de l’aide internationale au développement

open access: yesRevue Internationale des Études du Développement, 2020
Between the increasing ambitions attributed to international aid and the limited resources to achieve them, the normative and performative injunctions repeated by financial backers and international organizations have never been so strong.

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Estimating Norms of Commutators

open access: yes, 2013
We find estimates on the norms commutators of the form [f(x), y] in terms of the norm of [x, y] assuming that x and y are contractions in a C*-algebra A, with x normal and with spectrum within the domain of f.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Apprendre à enseigner à l’école primaire. Une socialisation professionnelle paradoxale ?

open access: yesCahiers de la Recherche sur l'Education et les Savoirs, 2018
At the end of a long research integrating the contributions of many works, we analyze here the recurring evolution of the priorities for new teachers in primary school.

Estimating operator norms using covering nets [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We present several polynomial- and quasipolynomial-time approximation schemes for a large class of generalized operator norms. Special cases include the $2\rightarrow q$ norm of matrices for $q>2$, the support function of the set of separable quantum ...

Plasma extrachromosomal circular DNA as a biomarker in EGFR‐targeted therapy of non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Detection of extrachromosomal circular DNA (eccDNA) in plasma samples from EGFR‐mutated non‐small cell lung cancer patients. Plasma was collected before and during treatment with the EGFR‐tyrosine kinase inhibitor osimertinib. Plasma eccDNA was detected in all cancer samples, and the presence of the EGFR gene on eccDNA serves as a potential biomarker ...

Can All-Accuracy Accounts Justify Evidential Norms? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Some of the most interesting recent work in formal epistemology has focused on developing accuracy-based approaches to justifying Bayesian norms. These approaches are interesting not only because they offer new ways to justify these norms, but because ...
