Dermatologic Toxicities Associated With Novel Pan‐RAS/RAF Inhibitors

open access: yesJournal of Cutaneous Pathology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background The mitogen‐activated protein kinase (MAPK) pathway plays a key role in cell‐cycle regulation and tumor progression in cancer. Dermatologic toxicities (DTs) to newer pan‐RAS (RMC‐6236) and pan‐RAF (LXH254/naporafenib) inhibitors are emerging.

A Community Bundle to Lower School-Aged Obesity Rates in a Small Midwestern City

open access: yesReports, 2019
Background: Multi-component interventions in large communities such as Philadelphia can effectively lower childhood obesity rates. It is less clear whether this type of intervention can be successful in smaller communities with more limited resources ...

Impact Absorption Power of Polyolefin Fused Filament Fabrication 3D‐Printed Sports Mouthguards: In Vitro Study

open access: yesDental Traumatology, Volume 41, Issue 2, Page 213-223, April 2025.
ABSTRACT Background/Aim This study aims to evaluate and compare the impact absorption capacities of thermoformed ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) mouthguards and 3D‐printed polyolefin mouthguards used in sports dentistry applications. The objective is to determine whether 3D‐printed polyolefin mouthguards offer superior impact toughness compared to ...

Biomechanical Analysis of 3D Printed and Thermoformed EVA Custom‐Made Mouthguard: Experimental and Finite Element Analyses

open access: yesDental Traumatology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background/Objective 3D printed materials have been evaluated for fabricating mouthguards; however, little is known about their biomechanical performance in preventing dental trauma. This study aimed to compare two 3D printed polymers and three ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) sheets used for mouthguard fabrication regarding their mechanical ...

Hair Number per Follicular Unit as a Marker of Treatment Response to Combined Autologous Scalp‐Derived Micrografts and Allogeneic SHED‐CM in Male Androgenetic Alopecia [PDF]

open access: yesJ Cosmet Dermatol
ABSTRACT Background Autologous scalp‐derived micrografts (MG) and allogeneic dental pulp stem cell‐derived conditioned medium obtained from stem cells from human exfoliated deciduous teeth (SHED‐CM) have individually shown efficacy in treating male androgenetic alopecia (MAGA).

Effects of repeated exposure to ozonated water on hair fibre structure and integrity: Part I

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cosmetic Science, EarlyView.
Repeated exposure to ozonated water caused cumulative oxidative changes in hair, altering structural integrity, thermal behaviour and mechanical properties. The findings reveal a distinct ozone‐induced damage profile that progresses beyond the cuticle, challenging claims of hair‐revitalizing benefits. Abstract Objective Ozone has recently been marketed

Doing Autoethnography, Teaching Autoethnography as a White Woman Architect‐Educator‐Researcher in South Africa

open access: yesInternational Journal of Art &Design Education, EarlyView.
Abstract This autoethnographic study lies at the intersection of architectural, teaching and research practice through the lens of an architect‐teacher‐researcher working in post‐Apartheid South Africa. The research traces a shift from unconscious design practice to a more conscious, critical and careful practice through practice‐based design research ...

Load‐To‐Failure of Cantilevered Provisional Implant‐Supported Prostheses: Conventional Versus 3D‐Printed Resins

open access: yesJournal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Cantilever extensions in full‐arch implant‐supported provisional prostheses represent a clinical challenge frequently associated with biomechanical complications. This study aimed to evaluate the load‐to‐failure and deflection of acrylic and 3D‐printed resins used in the cantilever region of implant‐supported provisional prostheses ...
