Dynamic Networks via Polymerizable Deep Eutectic Monomers for Uniform Li+ Transport at Interfaces in Lithium Metal Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The PDEM‐based SIGPE provides a dynamic nanophase from Li+‐bridged molecular self‐association, enhancing electrochemical stability and facilitating uniform Li+ ion flux at the interface. This unique solvation structure results in a hetero species‐driven inorganic‐rich SEI and long‐term cycle stability, suggesting that a PFAS‐free Li+‐containing monomer

Study on the Viability of Canine Nose Pattern as a Unique Biometric Marker

open access: yesAnimals, 2021
The uniqueness of the canine nose pattern was studied. A total of 180 nose images of 60 dogs of diverse age, gender, and breed were collected. The canine nose patterns in these images were examined visually and by a biometric algorithm. It was found that

Classifiers With a Reject Option for Early Time-Series Classification

open access: yes, 2013
Early classification of time-series data in a dynamic environment is a challenging problem of great importance in signal processing. This paper proposes a classifier architecture with a reject option capable of online decision making without the need to ...

Enhanced Electromechanical Response in 1D Hybrid Perovskites: Coexistence of Normal and Relaxor Ferroelectric Phases

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The dynamic polarization reversal of coexisting normal and relaxor ferroelectrics in 1D TMAPbI₃ (tetramethylammonium, TMA) is deciphered through combined experimental and theoretical approaches. By bridging atomic‐scale motion, macroscopic polarization switching, and depolarization effects, a universal methodology is established to engineer next ...

Composition and Resulting Band Alignment at the TiO2/InP Heterointerface: A Fundamental Study Combining Photoemission Spectroscopy and Theory

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The chemical composition and band alignment are systematically investigated at the TiO2/InP heterointerface. Thin TiO2 films are deposited by ALD on atomically ordered, P‐terminated p‐InP(100). By combining UPS, XPS, and ab initio molecular dynamics, the atomistic structure and electronic alignment are revealed.

Real-Time odor classification through sequential bayesian filtering [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The classification of volatiles substances with an e-nose is still a challenging problem, particularly when working under real-time, out-of-the-lab environmental conditions where the chaotic and highly dynamic characteristics of the gas transportation ...

Asymptotic analysis of oscillatory integrals via the Newton polyhedra of the phase and the amplitude

open access: yes, 2012
The asymptotic behavior at infinity of oscillatory integrals is in detail investigated by using the Newton polyhedra of the phase and the amplitude. We are especially interested in the case that the amplitude has a zero at a critical point of the phase ...

Combined electronic nose and tongue for a flavour sensing system [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We present a novel, smart sensing system developed for the flavour analysis of liquids. The system comprises both a so-called "electronic tongue" based on shear horizontal surface acoustic wave (SH-SAW) sensors analysing the liquid phase and a so-called "
