A cryoprotective polypeptide isolated from Nothofagus dombeyi seedlings

Abstract A comparative study of soluble proteins of N. dombeyi seedlings showed significant differences between electrophoretic patterns of cold-conditioned samples (48 hr at 0°) and control seedlings kept at 18°. A cold-induced polypeptide with apparent M r of 35 k was isolated.
