Sister species within the Triops cancriformis lineage (Crustacea, Notostraca)

Zoologica Scripta, 2006
We investigated the phylogenetic relationships among the three presently recognized subspecies of the tadpole shrimp, Triops cancriformis, using mitochondrial 16S and 12S rDNA sequences. Our results indicate that the taxon is divided into two distinct lineages. One lineage is formed of T. c. cancriformis populations and samples from northern Spain that

pH-related Hatching Success of Triops cancriformis (Crustacea: Branchiopoda: Notostraca)

Hydrobiologia, 2006
Six different pH ranges were tested for the hatching rate of Triops cancriformis cysts. Cumulative hatching numbers approach to approximately 50% of cysts. The highest hatching rates, co-occurring with the shortest hatching times, were recorded in the neutral range. No hatching took place at pH values 9 and above.

Branchiopods (Anostraca, Notostraca) from Protected Areas of Western Montana

Northwest Science, 2010
Fairy shrimp (order Anostraca) and tadpole shrimp (order Notostraca), members of the crustacean class Branchiopoda, are important components of many freshwater and saline wetlands (Dodson and Frey 2001, Brendonk et al. 2008). These animals are especially common in seasonal wetlands, where populations are maintained by banks of resting eggs that may ...

Notostraca trackways in Permian playa environments of the Lodève basin (France).

2008
For nearly 20 years, Dr. Lapeyrie, surgeon at Lodève, has gathered many fossils coming from the Salagou Formation of the Lodève Permian basin. They are Insects, Notostraca, plants and ichnofossils. Among the latter, appears a multitude of Arthropoda trackways, finely preserved, which were collected in the top of sequences deposited in a playa ...
