Multi‐synergistic strategy for dual‐sensing conductive hydrogels capable of simultaneous strain and temperature monitoring

open access: yesFlexMat, EarlyView.
In this study, a multicomponent synergistic strategy is utilized, which capitalizes on the “intersection” of multiple functional influencing factors to achieve the successful development of a multifunctional hydrogel. Through the construction of a unique three‐dimensional dynamic cross‐linked network, the material combines mechanical strength ...

The new meaning of retirement for bridge employees: Situating bridge employment through the lens of the Kaleidoscope Career Model

open access: yesHuman Resource Development Quarterly, Volume 36, Issue 1, Page 89-112, Spring 2025.
Abstract Retirees re‐entering the workforce, popularly termed as bridge employment, is a phenomenon that is anticipated to increase in the coming years. Though research establishes that these employees have unique aspirations and work motives (see Mazumdar et al., 2020), primary research on how the retirement transition and bridge employment shape each

Pursuing Leadership on One's Own Terms: A Human Resource Development Perspective on Leadership Aspiration, Identity, and Organizational Influence

open access: yesHuman Resource Development Quarterly, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Leadership aspiration is not simply a product of ambition or capability, but a dynamic, context‐sensitive phenomenon shaped by how individuals understand leadership and whether pursuing it feels feasible, meaningful, and sustainable. Using phenomenographic analysis of semi‐structured interviews with 23 employees and drawing on Leadership ...

Evaluating predictive values of umbilical cord arterial lactate for adverse newborn outcomes among term‐births in northern Uganda: A cross sectional analytical study

open access: yesInternational Journal of Gynecology &Obstetrics, Volume 169, Issue 1, Page 408-420, April 2025.
Abstract Objective Birth asphyxia is one of the leading causes of death for neonates worldwide. Lack of an objective cost effective test to predict poor newborn outcomes at birth affects the ability to respond appropriately. This study determined predictive values of umbilical cord arterial lactate in relation to adverse neonatal outcomes. Methods This

Biomimetic mineralization‐inspired formulation‐adjuvant integrated circRNA nanovaccine against COVID‐19

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Medicine, EarlyView.
Inspired by the role of Mg2+ in stabilizing RNA secondary structures, we developed a one‐pot biomimetic mineralization method for synthesizing a circular RNA‐based nanovaccine (circRNA@FAiNVac) that integrates formulation and adjuvant functions. This nanovaccine exhibits potent immunostimulatory activation enabling multimodal immune responses and ...

3D Printing a Clinically Available Solution From Plaster‐Based Positives in Superficial Radiation Therapy

open access: yesJournal of Medical Radiation Sciences, EarlyView.
This study compares two techniques for creating lead shielding masks to replace the current process for superficial/orthovoltage facial radiotherapy: Plaster Cast Positive Mould (PCPM), CT Scanned 3D Print (CT3DP), and Optical Scan 3D Print (OS3DP). CT3DP was found to be more accurate and preferred over OS3DP.

Annual and Seasonal Rainfall Variability in Mozambique During the Nineteenth Century

open access: yesInternational Journal of Climatology, EarlyView.
This paper presents the first annually and seasonally resolved reconstructions of nineteenth‐century rainfall variability for Mozambique derived from the analysis of extensive documentary evidence. It reveals spatially heterogeneous rainfall patterns with recurrent multi‐year droughts, episodic extreme wet events, and a strong coherence between ...
