The Long-term Activity of the Postnovae Q Cygni and BK Lyncis
We show the postnova activity of Q Cyg (Nova Cyg 1876) and BK Lyn (probable Nova Lyn 101). We use both CCD and photographic photometric observations.

Graphene nanoplatelet (0.1 wt.%) reinforcement significantly enhances the performance of β Ti‐28Nb‐35.4Zr alloy. Grain refinement, reduced water contact angle, and improved surface characteristics promote osteoblast adhesion and complete surface coverage after 7 days.

An Equipotential Disk Model with Irradiation for Nova-like Variables
The reflection effect is here incorporated within an earlier analytic binary system light- and velocity-curve model that includes a circumstellar equipotential disk.

On resonance line profiles predicted by radiation driven disk wind models
We report on resonance line profiles predicted by radiation driven disk wind models which extend radially one order of magnitude farther out than our previous models.

Discovery of a cataclysmic variable with a sub-stellar companion [PDF]
We find that the ROSAT source 1RXS J105010.3-140431 is a cataclysmic variable with orbital period of 88.6 minutes and a spectrum closely resembling WZ Sge. In particular, emission lines are flanked by Stark-broadened absorption wings probably originating

This work develops 3D‐printable tribopolymer networks that can enhance triboelectric performance under high humidity environments. Polar hydrophilic functional groups and incorporation of zwitterionic monomers promote bound‐water–dominated interfacial polarization thereby increasing electrical outputs.

A program of long-term ground-based photometric monitoring of 134 old novae and novalike cataclysmic variables (CVs) has been concluded. In this paper, we display, analyze, and discuss the light curves of 33 of these targets, which have shown “stunted ...

InSb, a narrow‐bandgap semiconductor with high carrier mobility, is promising for thermoelectric energy conversion but suffers from high lattice thermal conductivity and strong bipolar conduction. Here, in situ interface engineering using Co2O3 nanoprecursors forms hierarchical CoSbx/In2O3/CoSb3 heterostructures that enhance phonon scattering and ...

SW Sex stars, old novae, and the evolution of cataclysmic variables [PDF]
The population of cataclysmic variables with orbital periods right above the period gap are dominated by systems with extremely high mass transfer rates, the so-called SW Sextantis stars.

Polymer Interface Enables Reversible Quasi‐Solid Sulfur Conversion in Sodium‐Sulfur Batteries
The polymer interface enables a stable quasi‐solid sulfur conversion pathway in room‐temperature Na─S batteries. The coating regulates Na+ transport, stabilizes the cathode–electrolyte interphase, and accommodates mechanical stress, suppressing electrolyte decomposition and sulfur migration, thereby improving reaction uniformity, reducing polarization,
